@Mimi Ramsey thank you! 😊
What could you do less of to get more results?
Doing less to get better engagement in your community? We can help! Some might call the "less is more" quote a cliché, but when you think about it in terms of Skool communities, it's tempting to strive for more engagement in the communities we are building by engaging more. The question is whether more engagement is something your members actually benefit from or not. By doing more more more, you are hoping to get more engagement, but what if less is more... In your community, what do you think you could do less of, to get more results?

I find this to be a really hard question, since my group is about reducing the digital noise. With every post I'm like: will this be noise or actually valuable? and it's really hard. Because even when you share something valuable, it might not be the right time for the community to receive that. when you share something to increase engagement and to get to know each other, is that valuable, or is that just creating noise? For example those polls of "are you a night owl or early bird?" or "coffee or tea?" I know they can help with engagement, but is that the engagement I want in the community? I literally dream about this stuff. 😂

@Ruben Plasmeijer because my community is pretty new, yes I often ask people if things I'm sharing are supportive. I also kinda base my next move on the reactions I get. Absolute silence? okayyy, won't do that again. Everyone engaging? -> I'll do this more and you're right, polls can lead to conversations, I'm being very mindful about that as well. Last Saturday I asked if people were taking the day off or working on the Saturday and the replies have been very interesting! (also tip for others, that's a good one to post on the weekend haha)

I got a freebie for you inside my community. 😊 A 60-minute workshop, broken down into 2-3 minutes long exercises that can help you reduce the noise in your digital space. Think: your inbox, your phone notifications, but also the mental clutter that comes with a 100 open tabs and not being clear when people can message you. @Stacey Youlios hmm, I hope the noise isn't necessary, and I know people who are barely digital, but I agree, it's really, really hard to turn it all off and tune it all out. PS: the barely digital people I know go to silent retreats and such, so that's a different cup of tea then running online businesses and communities. 😉

@Stacey Youlios I’d like to challenge that: I have a friend who has been running things succesfully between silent retreats and trekking through the mountains for many years, has never had a social media presence or even a website. But yeah, you could say she has an email address so she is online.. but besides that, she never gets bothered by content or branding or any of that stuff. Offline networking and making real connections can still work, even today. :)
