@Jennifer Rassbach thank you! 💞 In 2021/2022 I created it (V1) to plan my day, track my habits and focus on my gratitudes / wins (It has daily space for all that). I had been using a beautiful gratitude diary for all that and recognised there was an opportunity to create a little "vegan Trojan horse" to plant some seeds with others. I still use it for all that... however absolutely my journaling practice has also involved from just tracking and planning to include much more writing, exploring and facing (rather than numbing) difficult emotions.

@Jennifer Rassbach thank you so much. And, yes even my "anti-vegan" father raves about what a beautiful gift it is "EVEN for non-vegans!!!" 😆🤣🤣
💛 Everything Counts. Especially THIS.
We're often remarkably good at noticing what we didn't do. - The post that flopped rather than the one that started a great conversation. - The task we didn't finish rather than the five we did. - The workout we missed rather than the two we completed. - The moment we lost our patience rather than the MANY moments we handled well. Sometimes we expect perfection — and anything short of that somehow doesn't quite count. I think one of the most supportive habits you can build for YOURSELF is the ability to notice what you did well. That positive reinforcement we so naturally give to someone we care about? You need some of that from YOU too. 💛 A few simple ways I've been practising this: ✅ ONE: Say it to yourself. When you handle something well, actually acknowledge it. "Good job." "Well done." "Nice work." "I'm proud of how I handled that." Whatever sounds like YOU. It might feel slightly strange at first. Do it anyway. 😆 ✅ TWO: Give yourself daily reference points for success. I still write three of these in my journal most days. Nothing enormous required. Sometimes they're simply small decisions, actions or moments that remind me: I'm making progress. I'm following through. This counts. ✅ THREE: Let it show up in your journaling. My number one rule for journaling? NO RULES! 😂 One sentence. One page. One hour. Whatever works for you. Lately, when it comes to mind, I've been finishing with: "You did well today, hon." And you know what? It feels REALLY good. Especially because not everyone has someone in their life regularly telling them that. Maybe you have a coach, cheerleader, super-supportive partner or wonderful friend. Maybe you don't. Either way, they're not inside your head 24/7. And... you ARE! Which makes the way you speak to YOU incredibly powerful. For better or worse. Let's make it for better. 💛 🌱 YOUR TURN: Before you scroll away, give yourself some credit. What's ONE thing you did well today? Big, tiny, seemingly ordinary — it ALL counts. 💛

Lab Tests
Ask Lynne has a resource in our classroom called The ABCs of Lab Tests. We go to the doctor, they send us for blood work. 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐲, 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭! Often now, we can look at our lab results online, I love this! We do not have to wait to go to the doc to see what is what! 𝐁𝐔𝐓, 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐛 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬? In Ask Lynne, every time we learn about a lab test, of any kind, it is added to the ABCs of Lab Tests, our living, growing index of plain- language information. What's a piece of advice that's stuck with you?
Everyone gets given advice constantly, most of it goes in one ear and out the other. But every so often someone says something that just sticks, and you find yourself repeating it years later. Doesn't have to be business advice, could be something a parent, a mate, an old boss, anyone said to you. What's yours, and who said it? I'll drop mine in the comments too, but you first 😀

A lot of Alex Hormozi's advice sticks with me. Around work ethic, focus, consistency... it more resonates with what comes naturally and feels like support when people around me say: "Take a break, you work too hard!" A little more specific from him and paraphrasing: "Don't don't advice from people who don't have the results - or life - you want." He also made me see the value in FREE. After 19 years as a personal trainer I was reluctant to give away my online coaching for FREE. I guess that was ego. Or I felt I'd already "paid my dues." And yet, online - as a vegan health coach - I hadn't. Offering free for a few clients let me refine my system and get the great testimonials that led to paid clients.

@Heather Boers it really can! Now I'm very clear with one on one and group coaching - however the actual community? Free or Paid? That still feels somewhat unclear. 😳
Where Did Your Business Name Actually Come From?
I've been scrolling through profiles in here and there are some brilliant business names floating around. Some obviously well thought out, some that clearly have a story behind them, and I'd put money on a few being a 2am decision after a bottle of wine 🍷 So go on, where did yours come from? Was it deliberate, did someone else suggest it, or did it just happen and now you're stuck with it? Don't hold back on the daft ones 🤣
