The F-Word You've Been Avoiding
Funnel. What did you think I was gonna say? 🤣 Funnels aren't websites, or sales pages, or sleazy ways of getting someone to buy. Sure, they can include all those things, but that's not what funnels really are. So WTF are they? A series of decision paths. A way to help your prospective buyer get from where they are (e.g. frustrated, unhappy, broke) to where they want to be (calm, happy, wealthy). And funnels can be simple, e.g. Pinterest > free Skool community > paid membership They can also be more complex: Ad > freebie opt-in page > email automations > paid offer The gurus make it all more confusing than it needs to be. It's not about the fancy software like High Level (tho it sure helps). But about guiding humans to the solution that's right for THEM in that particular moment. Not pressuring them into a sale. Just solving the right problem at the right time, and then showing them there's a new problem to solve. That's not shady. That's not click-bait. If it's done with integrity, intention, and a service mindset. Here's an example. Julie wants to start a podcast. So she buys a course that shows her how to set up the tech, record her episodes, and publish them. She's solved problem #1 - how to start her podcast. But now she has a whole batch of new problems that she may not have considered: - how to market her show - how to get great guests while she's building her following - how to stand out from the millions of other podcasters - how to write fire shownotes fast - how to produce 5 shows a week without burning out etc. etc. etc. Each solution brings a new set of challenges. That's not BAD. That's normal. Every action has a reaction. Every door closed is another opened. Every problem solved brings new clarity and insights. Our job is to anticipate each new problem our solutions create. And then help the Julies of the world solve them.
