We've reached 4k! LFG! The story continues! Big plans ↓
Quick story, when the community was first under 20 or so members, I had to actually hunt down the link to the skool from 2-3 frames on an instagram reel, it was a pain, but such a worthful pain 🙏 We've grown so much over just the span of a week or so, from having less than 50 members to our first milestone of 100 members, I remember telling jake this is such a good milestone, what happened next was just mind-blowing, a few days later he posted 1 reel, the much loved File architecture system. That changed everything. You might've seen me in chat a lot interacting with the community, but let's appreciate the people behind the scenes (and in front as well) who actually power clief notes. The main orchestrator: @Jake Van Clief Jake's goal from the start was never to make a profit hungry 100% automated community, I understood from day 1 that he actually spends his time (FYI, he had over a 2 hour class with 50 students as he is a university professor) engaging with the community, regardless of the amount of work he does behind the scenes, regardless of having over 400+ intro's, he manually goes through each and every 1 trying to learn about everyone in the community to the best of his abilities. We all could agree that he deserves a break, but he told me that he wasn't interested in taking one for now, regardless of how much has been done, the world keeps moving and so does he. Our big man Mathew: @Matthew Creamer Matthew may not have been interacting in the community as much, but trust me he's working so much on the BTS work which no one gets to see and unlike other "AI Gurus", he hasn't once asked for any sort of appreciation or praise, GOAT tbh. My most fav developer: @Kay K Many of you don't know Kay, but this guy has some pure awesome talent, he's made the completely free to VIP member software which helps each individual learn and understand any concept/lecture/research paper/list goes on. The level of design and architecture that he made within such a short time never fails to amaze me, amazing stuff.

Def not single handedly! Just trying to contribute I love getting into the thick of it.
Who's here? Drop your intro.
Tell us three things: 1. What you do (job, industry, student, career-changer, whatever) 2. What brought you to Clief Notes 3. One thing you're trying to figure out right now related to computing or AI I'll respond to every single one. And read each other's intros too because the person who's stuck on the same problem as you might already be in this thread. I'll go first I am Jake, I have been working in tech for 15 Years, building with Generative AI for 3 Years straight now! Excited to teach and learn! That's it. Simple, scannable, gives you data on who's joining and what they need, and keeps the feed clear for content that retains people past week one.

What 3,300+ of you did in six days
We hit #482 on Skool! Here's what that actually means 3,300+ of you showed up in six days. That put us in the top 500 communities out of roughly 30,000 on the platform. For context: Skool ranks communities by a weighted score of active members, engagement, and growth rate. The algorithm favors communities where people actually talk to each other over communities that just collect subscribers. Which means this number reflects something real about how you all use this space. So thank you. Genuinely. Now, the part where I ask you something we've already asked: What do you want more of? Yes, we keep asking. The community is six days old and already the intro post has 600+ comments showing people building actual systems, wrestling with architecture decisions, trying to figure out what layer their problem belongs on. That tells us a lot. But we want to hear it directly. Drop a comment. Tell us what's stuck, what's working, what you wish existed here. We read all of them.

@Matthew Creamer is amazing folk and a consumate professional. It's excitihng stuff being built here I'm glad he is on board
We're growing and we're looking for the right people to grow with us 🚀
I've been working with Jake for a while now, well before I joined this community officially. I know what he's building and I know how he thinks. The community is the visible part. There's a lot happening around it that most people haven't seen yet. When he asked me to come in as moderator it wasn't to manage a feed. It was because the operation is growing fast and we need good people around us to build it properly. AI consulting, enterprise workshops, partnerships across some seriously complex industries. Jake's been carrying a lot of this alone. That's changing. If you've been sitting in here thinking "I could help with that" — now's the time to say so. Here's where we actually need hands/volunteers right now 👇 🤝 Community and Engagement — welcoming members, keeping conversations real, making this place worth showing up to every day 🎬 Content and Course Production — editing, formatting, turning Jake's raw material into polished modules people can actually learn from ⚙️ AI Engineering — building and improving the tools and systems running underneath all of this 💼 Client and Relationship Management — helping connect the community to the consulting and enterprise work we do 🎤 Workshop and Event Support — helping prep and run live sessions for corporate clients and institutions 📱 Social Media and Growth — turning the audience Jake's built on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube into members and pipeline 🔍 Research and Intelligence — tracking what's happening in AI and feeding it back into content and strategy 🗂️ Operations — keeping a fast moving team organised and on track These start as contributor roles. The people who show up well will grow with this. That's just how it works. DM me directly. Tell me who you are, what you're good at, and why this caught your eye. I read everything. Kaleb

What does everyone think of this?
Most people underestimate how powerful humor is as a skill. Most of us kind of live similar lives you know. We wake up. Go to work. Commute. Eat. Watch something. Sleep. Repeat Today I randomly found a YouTube channel covering business news…but with comedy. Normally I wouldn’t watch news at all but this had me laughing during my break at work, and honestly, that 10 minutes was the highlight of my day. And it made me realize, humor is leverage just as much as it is entertainment because the moments we actually remember are the ones we laughed a lot. If you can combine humor with valuable content, you get: - Attention - Retention - Shareability - Higher CPM niches - Sponsorship potential - Brand loyalty That’s an insane combination that i would love to have. Now, I’m not a natural at making random strangers on the internet laugh... But what if we can actually make it a trainable skill with a system/workflow involving AI? Not to become a comedian - but to learn how to think more creatively, be quicker, more witty, more engaging for any content we create. I feel the only real way to stand out is by doubling down on what AI can’t replicate well yet — personality, humor, and a recognizable personal brand. Starting to think this is one of those under-the-radar advantages nobody talks about that would be game changing for this community @Jake Van Clief @Kaleb Vanderham @Matthew Creamer

@Ryhan Ahmed agree completely. I am a deep believer in connecting things to root emotions. Joy is one of those things that connects us to something deeper. It's what brings people to communities like this I believe. Deep Joy and satisfaction from feeling connected to someting greater than yourself. I think the grind can have deep meaning but perspective is everything isn't it? I love watching my 5 year old complete a basic task, like setting the table, and then experiencing deep satisfaction when he feels he's done it right. I try to think about that. My partner asked if I think AI music is 'cheating' or if I feel that it is in authentic. Personally? A banging tune is a banging tune!

@Kelly Creamer I think because they try to use humor as a means to an end, usually selling something. Most successful people I work with just bring joy and wonder to everything they do. It makes people want to be around them. I love that and AI can amplify this. I am going to chat with @Jake Van Clief about this the next time we meet and discuss humour and AI.
