Distributed Engagement
Hi everyone! I’m somewhat of a newbie in the Facilitation space as I’ve been building experience for about a year now. I am hosting biweekly circles, and I am wondering if there are any current guides, tools, or methods I can use to engage and build trust amongst an overwhelmed audience seeking community and new perspectives.

It's great that you're hosting circles - much needed in my opinion. How cohesive is the group? Do they (or most of the members) have similar interests, backgrounds, and goals? Things that have worked for me with not-so cohesive-yet-not-wildly-different groups were weekly prompts (from recent articles/online journals and stuff), ice-breakers and energisers (I think there are some in the course), reflective discussions (sharing goals, successes, challenges with a bit of accountability thrown in), and sharing resources - even stuff shared on the day (books, videos, podcasts). I did a lot of that before I did any structured facilitation. Happy to look for some guides or stuff in my digital cavern if you like. But I'd say, you got this! Be playful, have fun 🙂
Do you have a Thought Partner?
Many facilitators are also solopreneurs, which means that when it comes to creating workshops they are working on their own. But, it would be nice to have someone to bounce ideas off or to co-create with. We may ask a friend for thoughts and comments (or post on here), but we don't go into depth due to time constraints. A friend of mine had this problem for a Creative Workshop she was going to run and reached out to me. After some discussion we came to the realization that what she was looking for was a Thought Partner. Take a look at the video we made about this, and then add your comments or thoughts below. And if you would like to explore hiring me as a Thought Partner, reach out 😀

@Paris Jordan That's lovely, encouraging thought to keep in mind. I see we have overlapping interests (I just added "Mum' to my profile; I think that's awesome to have it there).

@Bill Clarke Yes, hats off to Mollick for that one. I'm game to do stuff online too. Maybe some of us could try it here?
