Back to china
@Jeffrey Cappella China has been brought up a number of times in the discussion group. Each question centers around a main theme: is China capable of throwing the overthrowing. Since not everyone here attends, I thought I would open this up on the discussion board. I’m sure you could go down a rabbit hole of information on this one, but can you maybe make a brief list of the real threats China may pose, and then a few reasons why they may not? Specifically, I think the concern is weapons or technologies that China may lend to the IRGC that may pose risk to both American/Israeli troops, AND Iranians on the ground. I’m attaching a video that the IRGC put out, not because I believe anything in it lol but just to show where they are at in their claims.

I’d appreciate the chance to talk more about this. Would you be open to chatting more sometime? No pressure at all.

@B T Exactly — modern conflict lives in that gray space now. Proxy fights, cyber ops, economic pressure, and “limited” strikes blur the line so much that what would’ve been called war decades ago barely gets labeled as one today. It’ll be interesting (and a little unsettling) to see how historians frame this period once the dust settles 😅
In memory of the victims of the IRGC
@Armin Navabi , I don’t know what they’re saying but it sounds beautiful! May their memories forever be a blessing.

Sending love and strength to everyone grieving this loss. May their soul rest in peace and their memory live on.❤️
Freedom vs. Safety — The Eternal Trade-Off
Is a society still “free” if people willingly give up liberty in exchange for comfort, security, and convenience?

Mohammad Jabari was identified as the Iranian who sacrificed himself by holding the door so others could get a way
A few days ago, Islamic Republic of Iran armed & security forces chased Iranians into a building with weapons in hand. Mohammad Jabari held the door to said building closed for as long as he could while his compatriots fled. According to reports, he was executed on the spot. 💐🕯️🕊️ https://x.com/NokooTV/status/2017035423592435844

@Rebecca Abbott well deserved ❤️
I’m interested in hearing different perspectives—especially where people disagree but can still respect each other.
Do you think government’s main role should be protecting individual freedom, or stepping in more to solve social and economic problems?

@Francesco Dell'Anna Beyond these basics, I think government power should be limited so individual freedom isn’t slowly eroded.

@Rebecca Abbott This is a very real take. Any system is only as good as the people running it, which is why balance and accountability matter more than extremes. Education and civic responsibility feel like the long game here.
