Hiya, I’m Josie 😀
I currently don’t work due to anxiety and depression. I am totally on my own here in Norfolk UK so am hoping to move closer to family. I spend most of my time procrastinating (in and out of bed), listening to podcasts, and to top it off, a bit more procrastinating. My main hobby is procrastinating about decluttering a whole load of my belongings so that I can move to a tiny flat 🫣 I’m hoping ADHD Harmony will teach me how to stop blooming procrastinating!!

@Clare McDonald Yep that pretty much sums it up. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve said (to myself because no-one ever listens) ‘don’t you think if it was that simple, I would’ve sorted myself out by now’, and I’m sick of hearing ‘pull your socks up and put your big girl pants on’ 😱

@Marie Wilson I relate to all of that. I feel like giving up at the moment as I can’t do this on my own. I’m also on high dose meds for it all which I’m not so sure are doing anything, I’m not going to but I’m so tempted to stop the lot and see what happens. I really hope you get what you need, inside and outside of this! 🥰
A quick question for everyone if I may....
I am curious to know how many of us in the group have been formally diagnosed and how many have self-diagnosed through research etc. I am here because of something a friend said three months ago..... and once the seed was planted in my brain my curiosity took over, I did some research, joined a few Facebook groups and here I am. Self-diagnosed and weirdly enjoying the self-exploration. If you are happy to share how you got here, please leave a thumbs up emoji for an official diagnosis or a comment on what led you to a self-diagnosis. I for one am very curious to know :)

I’m not diagnosed but the more I look I to it, the more convinced I am and it goes back to my childhood days when I don’t think it was even a ‘thing’. I’m 59 so not sure if I’ll get the official diagnosis but I’ve always had this feeling that I ‘am’ and ‘do’ different.
