Down 30 Lbs!!!
Hey everyone, I’m a longtime friend of Lane and have followed his journey since the beginning back when he started his first YouTube channel. You won’t find a better guy! When he started sharing his fitness journey, I knew he was someone I could trust, and honestly his story really kicked my own health journey into overdrive. I started taking Tirzepatide on April 12, and as of today, May 27, I’m down 30 pounds!!! It definitely hasn’t been easy every day. At first, I was skeptical because the shots made me feel like I had a stomach bug for about a day after taking them. But after the first couple weeks, that feeling pretty much went away, and now it just works by quieting the constant hunger signals. I’ve also been trying to do this the right way by hitting the gym at least 3 times a week and walking or running 5 times a week because I didn’t want to lose my guns either 😂 I say all that because if you joined this group and you’re skeptical about GLP-1s, you’re in the right place. I know Lane puts in hours and hours of research to make sure he’s giving people good information, and I’m really grateful he’s been willing to be vulnerable and share his journey publicly. I still have a ways to go, but I already feel so much better and definitely feel like I’m finally headed in the right direction.

Congrats!
Selank?
I do not suffer from crippling anxiety, but I do have fear around public speaking like most people. I am starting a new position where I will be hosting presentations at dinners in front of 20-70+ people, and while I know that some amount of anxiety will be there until I put the reps in, I'd like to mitigate some of it by giving selank a chance. Have anyone here tried it and what where the results? Should I take it daily or only on the presentation days (1-2 days per week) when I have to be extra grounded? Intranasal or subQ? It seems that all the russian studies on humans were done intranasal so I am leaning towards that but I'd love some feedback.

My advice would be to do without. You run the risk of getting it in your mind that you can't give a speech without it, and that might be harder to get off of than just starting without it.
First EVER Lifting Exercise!
Wanted to celebrate a win. I did my first ever lifting exercise yesterday! Small win but gotta start somewhere I suppose. Anyway super pumped. Ever since I started glp1s I feel like my body wants to work with me rather than against me. I mean that before I had no desire to exercise. In fact I dreaded the idea. Now? I actually am looking forward to it. Now the soreness on day two is not fun but looking forward to getting back at it tomorrow for my second work out.

I lifted at Muscle Beach, Venice, CA
Hey guys! First, welcome to so many new members! Can't wait to dig in and hear all your stories and see what your goals are for your fitness. Wanted to mention that I checked off a bucket list item this weekend! I lifted at Muscle Beach in Venice Beach California. Always wanted to ever since I started following Arnold and the other guys who formed bodybuilder culture. It was so much fun!

Great, dreams can come true.
Ready to have the body I never had
Hi guys, I was a fat kid growing up and while I’m no longer obese, I never really got lower than 22% body fat and most of the time stayed around 25%. I’m a gym rat at heart but when building muscle would sort of balloon up in size like super Mario, but never really would get muscular. Same thing when I lost weight we just shrink, but never really got defined. I was on Tirzepatide and went all the way up to 7.5mg with saw only modest changes (5 lbs) nothing really that drastic so I just switched to retatrutide this last week and I’m hoping that the added receptor will really benefit me. I had surgery a few months ago and just getting back into weight lifting. Not lifting as heavy as I used to out of caution, but can now say at least that I’m lifting three times a week. Looking forward to learning from you guys

As a 64-year-old with quite a few physical problems, I can only give you one piece of advice and that is to proceed with caution. Always go slower and do less than you think you might need to. At our age, or at least my age, injuries drag on and on. I would just say be careful and hang in there brother. You'll make it.
