LinkedIn + YouTube is the best combo for growth. Here’s how: 👇🏻
My two most recent videos have just a small amount of views: 1. 713 Views 2. 2,500 Views But I’ve already had almost 30 high-ticket calls book, loads of new people reach out to me on LinkedIn, and tons of new members in our Skool community. Video is no.1 in my opinion. Do it on LinkedIn. Do it on YouTube. Are you posting video content right now? Or want to but haven’t started? Let me know what you’re doing with video right now! Alex

I need to get better on camera. I am good in person, in Zoom, speaking off the cuff… But when I try to make a video I freeze up, stammer, sound fake. Any advice?

@Alex Colhoun I really should be using my daughter the actress to help me 😂
Is LinkedIn Premium Worth It?
I’ve paid for a month here and a month there for LinkedIn Premium before, but only used it to message some hiring managers when I first started looking for new jobs. But I am wondering what there is real value there beyond that. I am currently trying to land a new job and find consulting clients; would I find real value with LinkedIn Premium (especially on my already very tight budget)? What are people’s experience with it?

@Hichem Refes Getting credits to use for ads could be worth it at some point.
How do you find people in your niche?
Hey guys. I just watched Alex's video on the LinkedIn 360Brew algorithm changes and I have a question about engagements. Alex said in the video that we should engage with posts that are in our niche. So for me, since I create websites for construction consultants, I have to engage with posts from construction consultants right? But the thing is, I've tried searching multiple times for posts, but they all have little to no engage and are low performing. The profiles I come up as well are often not very active on the platform in terms of making posts. I have been thinking of why I haven't gotten clients yet. I believe my profile is optimised enough, so probably it's this engagement stuff that I haven't gotten right yet? Looking forward to hear your thoughts 😇.

In addition to what Alex says above about engaging with your ICP, I would think you could also engage with other website builders - but in your comments angle things towards your unique selling proposition, i.e., sites for construction consultants. It will help raise your status as an expert in the niche.
The LinkedIn 360Brew AI Algorithm is Here 👇🏻
Hey all, happy Sunday. If you haven't already seen, the 360Brew algorithm is a "reasoning engine" for LinkedIn. The updates are pretty interesting. I recorded a video on the new algorithm that breaks down: - What the 360Brew LinkedIn Algorithm is. - What to do to Succeed with It. - What NOT to do with it. - What this means for the future of LinkedIn content. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/1ae5dIH1Lx0 Reply to this post with any questions you have about 360Brew.

This was the video that popped up in my feed where I said "Wait, I've seen him on LinkedIn!" - and eventually led me to this group. As an algorithm junkie myself, I appreciated this breakdown of what's new with LinkedIn. I also love that post timing is being minimized as a factor. Sometimes life has a rhythm that does not match someone else's algorithm.
Great breakdown on how to standout from the Ai slop on LinkedIn. And a moment of vulnerability.
LinkedIn and other platforms are constantly changing. Getting attention requires more intention and effort in the age of Ai. In the spirit of personal branding, I'm going to put myself out here and encourage others to do the same. We're all here for some type of growth--engagement, online presence, and ultimately online business. One of my key struggles--is deciding how much "struggle" to share? I see people clearly overshare personal (sometimes even criminal) information, that may cause more harm than help. My biggest challenge is monetizing my vast lived experienced, which does not lend itself to a simple niche: I'm a junior high-school drop with a masters degree. I'm former drug-dealer/former felon turned mentor, caregiver, and human service professional that work with a wide range of vulnerable populations (elderly in memory care, persons with DD and mental health disorders, wounded veterans to name a few). Last and certainly not least, I'm a believer in Jesus Christ and my lived experience lends such sin-filled insights that I know both believers and non-believers face. This is my vulnerable moment... I'd love to hear you... Hope you find this video useful... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVWXbYuoXYg

Will is a great source for inspiration and practical advice. But really, the true inspiration here is you, Jp. Your willingness to share - and boldness for Christ in a business setting - are exceptional. I often struggle with how much to share, how vulnerable to be, and when to do it. I think it is a timing issue. Trust must be built -- not only trust of you by the people you share with, but your trust of the people you share with as well. The sad truth is, I have seen people weaponize what we share. Matthew 10:16 comes to mind: "Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." Be well, Jerry
