The LinkedIn 360Brew AI Algorithm is Here 👇🏻
Hey all, happy Sunday. If you haven't already seen, the 360Brew algorithm is a "reasoning engine" for LinkedIn. The updates are pretty interesting. I recorded a video on the new algorithm that breaks down: - What the 360Brew LinkedIn Algorithm is. - What to do to Succeed with It. - What NOT to do with it. - What this means for the future of LinkedIn content. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/1ae5dIH1Lx0 Reply to this post with any questions you have about 360Brew.

Very solid breakdown... Seems like depth will be more important than ever... And, training the algo will be equally important...

@Alex Colhoun I've been stretched thin, so after I get to review more of your content in detail, I'll reach out... Thanks for all that you do....
How do you find people in your niche?
Hey guys. I just watched Alex's video on the LinkedIn 360Brew algorithm changes and I have a question about engagements. Alex said in the video that we should engage with posts that are in our niche. So for me, since I create websites for construction consultants, I have to engage with posts from construction consultants right? But the thing is, I've tried searching multiple times for posts, but they all have little to no engage and are low performing. The profiles I come up as well are often not very active on the platform in terms of making posts. I have been thinking of why I haven't gotten clients yet. I believe my profile is optimised enough, so probably it's this engagement stuff that I haven't gotten right yet? Looking forward to hear your thoughts 😇.

This is huge shift...and this is often where coaches widely disagree, some say you "must" niche down and other say "YOU" are the niche... In truth, I really feel like it depends...I'm in the faith-based + leadership space, so I aim to engage for faith-led leaders / Christians/ Nonprofit Leaders... I just pivoted to faith-based, so I believe it takes some time to reach my new audience (once I pivoted some stopped engaging with my Christian posts) and I'm in a couple of communities--some of the suggestions are conflicting... Key things to keep in mind... -Be consistent at least long enough to see if or what works a few posts/ a few weeks is not long enough to decide in my opinion (would love to here your thoughts Alex). -Try intersections for example my target audience is leaders of the Christian faith, but my sub-audience is nonprofit leaders (often they have overlapping values of Christians) and lastly Christians; this is my trinity intersection, so maybe you could target primarily construction consultants, small construction companies and consultants in a similar space. I think long as these topics have some overlap and are interconnected, it provides a wider net and niche together (once again, looking forward to hearing Alex's take on this). Wishing you the best, this is a great question and I'm sure others have similar questions. With all that being said, if you're Christian or nonprofit leader let's connect...so we can train this algo to expand our reach, lol.... https://www.linkedin.com/in/watkinsglobo/

@Vaughn Sanders looking forward to learning from you and growing together...
Great breakdown on how to standout from the Ai slop on LinkedIn. And a moment of vulnerability.
LinkedIn and other platforms are constantly changing. Getting attention requires more intention and effort in the age of Ai. In the spirit of personal branding, I'm going to put myself out here and encourage others to do the same. We're all here for some type of growth--engagement, online presence, and ultimately online business. One of my key struggles--is deciding how much "struggle" to share? I see people clearly overshare personal (sometimes even criminal) information, that may cause more harm than help. My biggest challenge is monetizing my vast lived experienced, which does not lend itself to a simple niche: I'm a junior high-school drop with a masters degree. I'm former drug-dealer/former felon turned mentor, caregiver, and human service professional that work with a wide range of vulnerable populations (elderly in memory care, persons with DD and mental health disorders, wounded veterans to name a few). Last and certainly not least, I'm a believer in Jesus Christ and my lived experience lends such sin-filled insights that I know both believers and non-believers face. This is my vulnerable moment... I'd love to hear you... Hope you find this video useful... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVWXbYuoXYg

@Alex Colhoun I hadn't even read your post before I replied, seems like most people prefer the first design...

LinkedIn Journey Update
Hey guys. Man, one thing I've learnt from LinkedIn is that the journey will get hard, so you have to toughen up. I wanted to quit LinkedIn some time ago, but whenever I thought of the long-term benefits of growing my account, I couldn't let myself miss it. So I have kept showing up. Now, - My channel is growing: 448 followers - I've started my newsletter: 112 subs - And I'm about to start growing my YouTube audience So, just a bit of encouragement to others like me. When the going gets tough, the tough get going 😇💪.

Agreed, there will come a point where most of you will want to give up--but don't... I'm started on Youtube and LinkedIn in 2019 but stopped during the pandemic! Huge mistake on my part, this time I'm playing the long sustainable game... Be encouraged, you're closer to succeeding than you've ever been. Keep at it!
