Power Apps Licensing woes - tenant Guests / survey non-anonymous
Throwing out a hail mary here... My dept had developed a Microsoft Form to poll our clients on how we were doing. Then they discovered that Forms only allows tracking of the person taking the survey if they are in the businesses' environment. Anyone with an outside @ , and you have to use the anonymous mode. Which stinks b/c we want to be able to address the questions after, and sometimes our clients will use names like Mickey Mouse to attempt to circumvent identification if we ask who they are. We actually have an external facing sharepoint site for clients using Guest membership- so long story short - I add users as Guests to our Tenant to grant access to the sharepoint site. So the idea was to create a power App that they could go to the sharepoint site and use to answer the survey. Welllll after I completed the app and embedded it, I started testing access. I found out that Guests are not granted the license to use Power Apps, so it's a no-go. Security sure as heck will not be adding licensing for these guest accounts. Next thought was power pages. But after reaching out to IT, I was told we haven't 'explored' that yet due to price. Hoping for a workaround or a fresh idea... Have tried a bunch of things but nothing is working so far. Even thought about somehow assigning them a # or ID when they click a link on the sharepoint that would then be assigned to their form so we knew who it was, but I wasn't able to figure that out. Any thoughts or workarounds from the group?? I essentially have no budget, so even any external form software is out of reach.

@Savage Babajide The issue with that option is there is no validation. If a client wants to provide feedback anonymously (which we don't want) then they could fill in whatever they wanted in the name field. We did make some progress with possibly looking at pay per app licensing options in microsoft for the guest accounts going forward. Our MS expert showed me the licensing fees for power pages and it's crazy how MS has laid it out making it way too much of an investment atm.

We talked about this at work earlier in the week. Would be a huge help for internal sharepoint site users to quickly find answers to the multitude of questions or issues they deal with. We use the sharepoint as a training resource and for stats etc.
Error Received, but still getting the expected file/result when executed.
Hello All - I may have to end up sharing a bunch more code, but essentially I have a button that runs a flow to export a gallery list of selected items. In a nutshell, it uses JSON to create a CSV table, which is then posted to the sharepoint docs folder and locally downloaded for the user. It's all "working". The flow runs, the file is created, and it downloads to my local machine. BUT something is still running in the background I guess, and I'm receiving a throttling error. It only started doing this in the last week or so. I pulled up the chrome console as it was running and there are a ton of these 429 errors and a Post error . I can share the whole console log if needed. Any tips on where to start troubleshooting this? I also sometimes get a 404, and then it works the next time.

@Elvis Eyobor let me know if this works for you. I tried it again a few hours later and no error at all.

@Savage Babajide I think I figured out the culprit - but now I've complicated it a bit. Long story short, each gallery item was doing a Look up against another table to display certain info that wasn't in the dataset feeding the gallery. So for some reason, when I execute the button to create the json/export csv etc, it was then doing a look up again and again and again (possibly for each row?) on the gallery. I found this by using the 'open monitor' and seeing what was being done in the background. It repeatedly was running that same formula which caused the network issues. Now my next step is to see if I can display the data in another way .

Someone asked... "My biggest issue right now is Datalake, I have made some tables with help of dataflow, and also made connection from Powerapps, but Can’t figure out how to get the table contens to show in ex. A Gallery." I'd love to see how to do this, step-by-step, @Savage Babajide! @Tony Hansson might be interested too.
