Today I’m wearing my great uncle’s Patek Philippe, an heirloom that has been in my family since 1947. I have a few important meetings today, and I wanted to wear something that felt important for reasons that go well beyond the watch itself. That’s what I love about heirloom watches. When I put this one on, I’m reminded of the family members who wore it before me, the lives they lived, the decisions they made, and the paths they helped create for the generations that followed. But I also like the idea that I’m not just looking backward. By wearing it today, I get to bring them forward with me a little bit too. So as I navigate the day, I’ll have a few generations on my wrist with me — a quiet reminder of where I came from and, hopefully, of what I’m continuing to build for the people who come after me. That makes this one feel especially appropriate today. I’m blessed to be its current custodian. 🙏⌚️

Wearing the Big Eye today to mourn the end of summer 😢

Today’s Blue Monday Post is actually Blue! Unlike @Warren Money !! 😎 "Teddy" as I have no officially named it! and his blue dial felt like the right way to start the week. What I enjoy most about this watch is how much the dial changes depending on the light. At a glance it can look fairly restrained — deep blue, classic proportions, small seconds, nice and balanced. Then the light catches the guilloché and everything wakes up. You start seeing the texture, the pattern, the little shifts from darker navy into brighter blue, and suddenly the dial has a lot more going on than you first thought. The fact that the Guilloché is all hand done on a 100+ year old machine is SO Fascinating for me and that’s probably why I keep coming back to this one. I could stare at this one forever!!

This is definitely one of the more sassy watches in my collection.
