Happy Saturday Frag Fam. I am over the moon that Chicago is finally starting to warm up. Even though it’s cloudy and a little gloomy, we are in the 60s so I’m going to run a few errands and enjoy the fresh air. I received a nice sized decant from Nick Clemente of my scent of the day and it has me in a chokehold. I am officially on the hunt for a full bottle at a decent price. Today’s scent is Montabaco Intensivo by Ormonde Jayne. I only have a couple of decants from this house, but this one would be a great addition to the collection for spring and summer. It opens beautifully fresh, green, woody, and aromatic. It is not a huge room filler but it has very nice sillage. I am about three hours in and it is giving me a comfortable scent bubble. We will see how the rest of the day goes, but right now it is definitely full bottle worthy, even if it might require a light reapplication later on. Reunited! Fresh out of the mailbox 📬 is the well know Cedrat Boise. I've only owned a decant of this after all of these years. I've even purchased a bottle as a gift for my old boss. I had to finally snatch this up for myself. This is the scent I was wearing when i received my biggest unsolicited compliment from a stranger and that moment has stuck with me. This classic has citruses black currant and spices in the opening..fruity notes, patchouli leaf and water jasmine in the mid...cedar, leather, sandalwood,vanilla white musk and Moss in the base. Known as a competitor to Creed's Aventus but I do not find them similar or redundant. Owning both is a great idea. Not known as a leather fragrance but I get the leather in here and it's as close as I'll get to enjoying a leather fragrance (I'm not a fan of leather fragrances). If you've never smelled this try it please and if you have share your opinion.

Good Blessed Sunday Morning Fragrance Family. It is a beautiful sunny yet brisk morning here in Chicago and I am grateful for another day above ground as I make my way to worship. Days like this remind me just how important it is to pause, give thanks, and center ourselves before the week ahead. My scent of the day is Can’t Get Enough by Initio Parfums Prives, and this will be my first full wear of this 2025 release. Right from the opening it presents a rose forward composition, but it carries itself a bit differently than many of the other rose fragrances in my collection. The best way I can describe it so far is a rose gourmand that never becomes overly sweet. There is a smooth sweetness present, but it is balanced beautifully by a slightly green, resinous depth that keeps the fragrance grounded and intriguing. About an hour in, the projection is sitting at a comfortable moderate level while the sillage is excellent, leaving a very pleasant scent trail in the air around me. It is already showing signs of being a very well constructed composition and I am looking forward to experiencing how it evolves throughout the day. A full review will certainly come later once I get more time with it on skin. Until then, make it a great day family, stay grateful, and be a blessing to someone today.
