I need to get this third affiliate referral today, I will post updates when it happens and how! Just 28 more though :) And I want to make sure those who sign up actually grow successful groups on Skool

@Bijan Izadi Yes. I'm starting to think that it's less about saying, "Hey, you could start a community!", which is mainly what I've been doing, and more about saying, "Hey, you could start a business that pulls in an extra $1K to $5K per month!", then explaining how they can do that.

Where the Skool referral link takes people
Hi all, As far as I can see, the referral link takes people to one of two places: 1) A regular Skool sign up page if they're not already a Skool user. 2) A 14-day trial page if they are already a Skool user. Is this dual destination thing new, or have I just been really unobservant before? Don't hold back. 😆

@Mark Mage Thanks Mark. Ah, that's interesting - so can you send people to any public Skool (ha, public Skool) destination? I've been putting links in my YouTube video descriptions, my socials, my linktree, etc. But now that I'm considering a FB ads experiment, I'm thinking more about what destination would convert best, I guess.

The reward system can be improved
I have some suggestions for the affiliate program as there is an issue here (in my opinion). Imagine I get a person to sign up for a free account (or pay to my community); he then realizes he loves Skool, starts to explore more communities, and then decides to create a community. Then, the last community gets 100% of the reward because he was in that community while pressing the + button to create his own community. This seems so unfair, and I assume your strategy is for people to create communities about creating communities. Hence, you grow because you make money here, but the solutions below won't interfere with that. And I, who initially brought the person to the platform, don't get rewarded for it, and it's quite wrong to assume just the last community is the reason for him making a community, and bringing people initially to the platform is at least half the job, IMO. Two solutions that I see: 1. The initial link (affiliate/person) that brought the person to the platform gets 100% if he starts a paying community within 1-2 days. 2. A 50/50 split between the two, in this case, me and then where he created his community. Let me know what you think!

I know what you mean, but on the flipside we too can benefit from members opening communities from within our own communities. This may well balance things out. 🤔 Perhaps we should also try harder to get newcomers excited to start a community straight away after hitting our affiliate link.
