UPDATE - Market Data vs Creativity
I just wanted to stop by with an update. Last week I posted a question in the community about balancing Market Data and Creativity as I felt limited to what would work for me. I mentioned that I had a posted content last Wednesday and removed it because it wasn't getting much engagement as my last post in that first hour. The piece wasn't really inspired by market research but more so by my own experience that I felt others could relate to. Since then I re-posted the same content piece this past Sunday and got so much great engagement from it that I genuinely wasn't expecting (60 likes, 3 comments and 30 bookmarks). Even though the post wasn't initially data driven, I feel like I'm seeing the opportunities and my ability to resonate with my audience a little more clearly than I did before. Now I just need to secure the follows in order to nurture that same audience and funnel leads but I imagine that goes along with building more content and optimizing my page. Slowly but surely I feel like I am making progress but I'll get there! Thank you for the support and feedback that was offered @Christy Cox @Carolyn Green. It was extremely helpful. 👍🏾 I'll link the original question below in case it helps or inspires anyone else in the community. https://www.skool.com/milliondollarbusinessplan/question-re-market-data-vs-creativity

@Christy Cox will do! Personally, I think that post was such a strong reflection of what it looks like for me to grow and build trust with my audience authentically and effectively. I really appreciate you encouraging me to reflect and recognize those accomplishments. It makes my progress feel even more real. ☺️
Question re: Market Data vs Creativity?
As an entrepreneur, how do you balance content that is inspired by market research vs content that is inspired by your own creative ideas — unrelated to market research? Do you post your own creative expressions here and there or are you only solely posting reliant on customer data? If a mix of both, how do you balance the two? Personally, I feel like there's not a lot of creative freedom when posting based on market data but it's tough to know what best resonates with the audience without said data so limitations can exist there as well. Last week, I did some market research and came up with content in solution to problems that felt instructional and insightful to my audience as I did receive some engagement saying such — yet it felt very creatively limiting for me to some degree. This week I created content that was inspired by my own life experience. While I did enjoy the process more and felt satisfied in my efforts, I took the post down about 1 hour after upload because I wasn't immediately getting the same amount of engagement as I did with last week's post. I'm assuming engagement might've seemed low because of the specific day and time I posted this time as opposed as to the day and time that my previous post was uploaded. I plan to re-post on Sunday without deleting. A lot of my content is reflective in nature. However, if you've mastered involving both in your work I'm curious to know how you've managed it? If you have any advice or guidance for me as well, I am receptive. All/any insight is welcomed and greatly appreciated🥲

@Carolyn Green Thank you for this. I read it when you initially posted but am just having the time to respond properly. I doubted myself too soon and I'm working to do that less often.

Curious lets say we wanted to be a 1:1 client, where would we find further information about that? If you’ve told me this before and I’ve forgotten my apologies.
Fri...YAY! Share your wins from this past week...
I make a practice every week to write down 3 wins I realized over the past week. This keeps me from focusing on "the gap." The gap is the place where you feel like you haven't made enough progress either because a) you didn't fully hit all of your goals or b) you're comparing yourself to others and their journey. So, I'd love to hear from you! What are 3 wins you realized this week?

I guess I can share what I consider a small personal win. For some time I struggled with posting content and knowing exactly what to post for my audience as I am new to business. I wasn't sure how to conduct my market research for my clients, however, this week I buckled down and did some research using ChatGPT. I used a suggestion to collect some data for content using polls. So I did some polls across 3 different socials and got some great feedback that I could make content on. I'm working on the actual content now to post starting yesterday throughout the weekend but now I know this is a way to create consistent engagement with my audience. It may seem small for some but this was quite a hurdle for me. I'm still learning and hope to find other effective ways to build engagement and funnel leads in addition to that! It's not 3 but it is one and I feel like I'm leaning more into what I'm called to pursue!
