Villanova Jay Wright
I love that your offense emphasizes drive and kick opportunities. What I struggle to teach my kids is a pass down is opposite cut and pass over is ball side cut. Teaching two pass and do is hard for them. Would Villanova motion work with players in deep corners and when neutral we always cut opposite. Then have rose series as sets.

Keeping things simple will help them get lots of reps and then you can build from there.
Offense
What offense do people prefer for grades 4-8? Drive and space or race and space?

The more you can teach conceptual offense at a younger age, the better they will grasp nuances at the high school age. We have that issue now where the prior varsity coach was struggling to get drive and space installed since players had only run plays during middle school. That's something I have changed now that I have both programs. Did not see a ton of results this year, but my middle schoolers who played up on JV had a better grasp of it.

@Austin DeNoyer It helps that I was the middle school coach, but did have a 5th grade team with moms coaching. I would start by having a meeting with the volunteer dads. Make them feel welcome, that they have your support, and sell the vision of what you want the program to be. Let them know how they are essential to that. Prioritize the skills you want players to know by the time they get to you and share that list. Let them experience how you run practice and have weekly/bi-weekly check ins to see how they're implementing. Show film of what your team has done and give them 3-5 actions you want them to hit the most.
Effective Offense vs a 2-1-2 Zone
Good day everyone - I have noticed a trend over the last 4 years in our Region and Association an increase in the number of teams that play a 2-1-2 Zone. In our region teams only play it against us. Amongst each other they will play Man, a 2-3, and a 1-2-2. We have been able to find ways to get quality 7's, however I am inquiring to see if there are other ways to attack and create more opportunities for 9's?

Another look is a 4 out, with the middle player just above the block instead of high post. When they get it, you can have strong side corner cutters based on how the defense matches up. https://open.spotify.com/episode/5oIbPYi6UIqtBJfvDT9uMb?si=RdZbBNZHTTulBa6Hh0T_4Q&t=18
Help!! We are hemorrhaging the basketball!!
Coaches, I am very short handed due to some injuries and sickness. For the last 5 or 6 games I have only dressed 8 kids. In those games we have averaged about 34 turnovers a game. The worst game being 41!! The crazy thing is we won that game! I have really tried to be intentional about SSGs to improve decision making and passing but when games come we have really tried to force things rather than "hunt great shots" which is one of our game goals. Last night, turned into a lay-up line for the other team. I know the girls want to win and they play their guts out. I feel like if we can cut turnovers down we could be in ALOT more games. I will take any advice.

Several things you could emphasize in small sided games. Shot selection- bonus points for taking the shots you want, even if they don't go in. Could focus on TO's- something we've done in the past is blow up balloons and pop them with each TO. Then there's an audio component to a TO. Every 10 we would run and reset the count. You could also do something like Philly 5v5, where you need to score 3 out of 5 possessions. A TO is automatically the other team's ball.
First Game Scouting Report
Good morning hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I was curious about the first team we play has 1 real good player. Do you guard this differently than others or if we do what we are supposed to in LL the results will be fine. No she is not left handed.

LL helps reduce those players effectiveness. She will still get her shots, but if the action is dictated by your players, it will make her press more. You can always adjust the gap on and off ball as needed to keep her left.
