🏀 A New Flavor of Offense I'm Excited to Share
This month, I want to share a different approach to RDS. Don't worry, everything we've taught still works, and if you're happy with how you're running it, keep going. It's a flavor of RDS for coaches who want more ways to create advantages, especially off the ball. More cutting. More screening. More ball movement. More player movement. But, with all the modern concepts that RDS gives you. The foundation of RDS stays the same. Think Bob Knight and Nate Oats had an offensive child. If you've been looking for ways to create more offense without relying too heavily on drive and kick, I think you're going to enjoy this approach. 🎥 I'll be breaking it down during today's FREE Consulting Call. 🗓️ Today at 5:30 PM CST. See you there. 👇 If you could add one thing to your offense next season, what would it be: more cutting, more screening, better spacing, or something else?

Principle based split action.
Decreasing TO's
Good morning, I am trying to find more effective ways of limiting TO's. We play mostly off of 2 feet when we stop. Most of the time we are putting the cart before the horse. Meaning we just drop a pass out of bounds. I call it the process is good the result is not there yet. I am just looking for more advice in decreasing the amount.

@Frank Fogg Yes. I have been working on that and then having them pivoting off of a catch. I am not sure it is the right or wrong way but we have gone to more of QS or Jump stops. Instead of two feet in general because our girls can look awkward when they go 1-2 on their landings and a lot of refs are calling it a travel.

@Frank Fogg I understand for sure. I like it myself our girls just get called for traveling so much doing it when it’s not.
Sets
With trying to develop players and running actions to create advantages how many sets do you have or do you think about having throughout the year?

@Clare Murphy I am sorry I am just now seeing this. That is a good question. I would usually define it as setting up in a certain way to gain an advantage more than likely for a specific hour.
Game 1 Box Score, DHS
Just wanted to get some feedback my thoughts are: too many 3's allowed but a lot of those are dribbled into 3's to or well contested but falls away from the make every catch a dribble theory. We fouled too much for sure working on our walls today and yes I know we didn't make any 3's. Also we Turned it over too many times. But I was really encouraged because 6/8 of my girls haven't ever played varsity before Friday night. Any different feedback would be great.

It’s on Hudl fan.
Switching in LL
Do we want to switch a cut from the Jail to the free side corner? Keeping the wall on the wall and the gap in the gap?

Thank you. That is what I thought.

Yeah. We have talked about that. It’s really just about over communicating.
