Are you a walker?
I am! I walk seven days a week in the late afternoon or after dinner depending on the season. Walking, especially when in nature, heals me each and every day. My husband and I only rent and buy property that has access to nature near by. I am grateful that we continue to manifest that! 🄾 Today I decided to record a little segment of the walk and take you along. It was 80 degrees Fahrenheit and gorgeous out there. Raise your hand in the comments below if you are a walker. Journaling Slows Down Time (Here’s Why)
This morning, I sat down with my coffee and my journal. I wrote the date at the top of the page. March 28, 8:17am. And something shifted. I became aware of the moment. I became aware of time. I became present. This is what journaling gives you almost instantly. It is not just writing. It is a reset. We tell ourselves we can just think things through. But it is not the same. When you write by hand, your brain activates in a deeper way. You are using your sensorimotor system, which means your brain is linking movement, focus, and thought together. You are not just having thoughts. You are processing them. That is why things feel clearer. That is why your mind slows down. That is why you can actually see what is going on instead of just reacting to it. Typing does not do this in the same way. Thinking definitely does not either. Writing by hand creates a stronger memory trace. It helps your brain organize what matters and filter out the noise. And in a world where we are building, creating, and juggling so many things, this matters. We spend hours starting at a screen! Because burnout is not always about doing too much. It is about moving too fast without awareness. This morning reminded me of something simple. Slowing down to journal is not wasted time. It is how you actually get ahead with clarity. If you want to try it today, keep it easy: Write the date Write the time Free write whatever comes to mind That is enough. My challenge for you: find a time to journal today (at least 5 minutes) and then come back here and raise your hand when you are done. šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø.

šŸ–ļø I have gotten out of the habit of journaling for the last few weeks, and today I took the challenge and journaled for 10 minutes!! I forgot how calming it is, and how much it helps me discern what parts of my business are more important to focus on for the day 😊 It reminded me how grounding it is and how much I truly need to carve out this time each day!

I have been using ChatGPT, but am considering moving to Claude as well! I'm sure I’ll need lots of suggestions on best way to migrate all my current information over! I also use Gemini and NotebookLM for certain client projects, it’s very helpful!

@Sybil Hall great question! I’d love to have it map out with me my long-form marketing content creation plan, then give me reminders and prompts to create those writing entries on the appropriate days! I often get in my own way, and prioritize client work over my own business goals 😊
