Stop Trying Harder. Start Using A 12 Week Year!
Here’s the truth most people don’t want to say out loud. Trying harder is not the problem. You’re already trying. You’re already showing up. You’re already testing things, learning, putting yourself out there. But if you’re still not seeing that upward trend over time… then something else is off. Business doesn’t grow in a straight line. It’s messy. Up and down. Up and down. And over time, we want that jagged line to trend upward. That only happens if you actually use a system you can count on. Your 12 Week Year. Your Daily Routines. Your Reset Habits. With weekly reflection and adjustment. Every single week. What did you plan? What did you actually execute? What was the result? And here’s the part people skip: What needs to change next week? Not next month. Not “someday when I have time.” Next week. This is where people stay stuck. They keep all their tactics. They keep posting everywhere. They keep doing what feels productive. Instead of doing what the 12 Week Year actually requires: Cut what isn’t working. Refine what might work. Double down on what is working. For me, that meant letting things go mid-cycle. YouTube every week? Gone. Social media consistency? Paused. Pinterest focus for growth? Paused. Not because they’re bad. But because they weren’t moving my goal forward, RIGHT NOT. And that’s the point. The 12 Week Year is NOT about doing more. It’s about doing what works, faster. So if you’re feeling like you’re doing everything and still not moving forward… Go back to your last WAM or reflect on last week. What was your execution score? What actually moved the needle? What are you still doing that isn’t tied to your goal(s)? Then ask yourself the real question: What do I need to stop this week… so I can actually level up? That’s how the upward trend happens. Not by trying harder. By executing, tracking, and adjusting… every single week.
