Happy New Year 😎
Hello friends, hope you're having a wonderful first day of 2026. My question for you today is: What is a spiritual teaching you understand , but struggle to live when life gets difficult? I'm building something that helps people apply spiritual teachings practically in daily life, and i'm curious to know some sticking points you might find yourself dealing with? Much peace and many blessings, and remember... Just 🐝 PS. I have turned off the premium tier to the community and am going to keep it free only. For those who have upgraded in the past, you will get free access to the new project once it launches. Until then, the exclusive content will be available for paid members until the billing cycle ends. 🙏

A course in miracles
Has anyone studied this and if you have what do you think about it?

I haven't looked deeply into the course itself, but when I researched it, I noticed there were people who think of it as controversial and poo-poo'd it. I read an old Marianne Williamson book in the late '90's called A Return to Love, which is based on A Course in Miracles. That should be available for a very reasonable price and I thought it was wonderful. I also worked with a EFT Tapping expert Sheri Baker and she had built a whole course around it, herself.

@Patrick Mccloud Sheri no longer does individual teaching but her website does have a lot of information on it about all that. I'm not certified in EFT tapping but I'm good enough to lead a session. I just haven't done it in a while!
Old habits die hard
Hello everyone! So I’m currently going through some changes. Some good, some bad. Got a new job that I’ve been working towards for a long time now, but I’m also going through a breakup that’s really hard. I am trying so hard to look at it as a better plan unfolding for me, and try to understand that it may be an opportunity to grow, but nonetheless, it’s hard. My negative self talk and ruminating are trying to take over, old habits rearing their ugly head. Although aware, awareness is only half the battle. Has anyone else recently struggled with accepting things as they are, and reframing it into a positive? Although I just got a new job, I’m also experiencing possible eviction from my house because I recently lost my old job three weeks ago and have been struggling trying to make ends meet. My son who’s a type one diabetic just came home from a scary hospital stay as well. It’s a lot to digest as well as reframe. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks for reading.

Yikes, that's a lot all at once, and all of it has a really big emotional impact. My studies recently have prescribed "I trust that everything is working out for my highest good" but that's pretty hard to do when you're staring at a sack of poop, or in serious pain. So I think it's good to acknowledge that we probably can't see what that highest good is right now, and we should stop thinking about it. It's our anxiety from the past and future fears that are causing all the thoughts. Some form of meditation practice helps, but breath work is the easiest and fastest calmer - downer I know of. Slow regular breaths and holding for a bit after the exhale, brings an amazing state of calm and peace, and in that brief moment I can find spirit.
Opinion about Eckhart Tolle?
I’m curious how others here see Eckhart Tolle. At first, for me, he has been one of the most influential spiritual teachers in my life. His work helped me move from a more superficial form of Christianity into a deeper spirituality and a taste of non-duality. His teachings on presence, the nature of thought, and the possibility of experiencing the infinite only in the Now were life-changing for me. I’ve read many of his books and they gave me profound insights. But the deeper I go on my spiritual path, the more I feel that Tolle’s teaching stops at a certain point. He emphasizes becoming empty, letting go, living entirely in the present — which is absolutely essential. It is the first step: turning inward, releasing identification with thought, detaching from the ego. However, what I experienced is this: If we stay only there, something is missing. In my experience, emptiness without aliveness becomes flat. Many spiritual traditions that focus exclusively on stillness and detachment end up lacking the other half of the dance — the movement, the energy, the joy, the creative expression of life (what you could call Yin and Yang, balance or the "dance of life" swinging between the poles). I practiced the “be empty, kill the ego, detach from everything” path very seriously. It gave me peace, yes — but also a kind of numbness, a loss of vitality. It felt incomplete. And reality becomes meaningless and neutral... Now I see it differently: We become empty so that we can be filled — with love, joy, abundance, presence, and creative life-force. Emptiness is the beginning, not the destination. That’s just my experience over the past weeks. How do you see Eckhart Tolle and his teaching? Do you feel the same, or something different?

Call me a plebeian, but I think of this 'ordinary' 3D existence with all the other humans milling about on the planet, as the place where we get shit done. When interacting with others it's AMAZING to be fully present, and having immediate access to that state of being is priceless, so the practice is beneficial to everyone! Yet, I feel my creative musings, fantasies, struggles etc. are products of humanity by design. I am not certain how far I desire to travel the Ascension path - do I want to be a bodhisattva? That sounds like so much work! 🤣 I'm a curious, smorgasbord kind of girl, maybe that's why I enjoy studying various Masters and methods, & take what works with me. I don't think it's a linear process, either - we come across what we need work on naturally.
