🎸 Quick question for the crew…
What’s one piece of guitar gear you’ve bought that you immediately had to show your friends when they came over? Not the most expensive thing you own — the one that made you say: “Yo, check this out.” Could be: - A pedal - A weird little gadget - A mod - A piece of décor - Something small but just cool Please be specific, and feel free to post a picture of it so we can all see it. I’m asking because I want this community to help shape the kind of gear we bring into Omni Guitars. Stuff that makes people curious, sparks conversations, and actually gets used. Drop one item (or a few if you can’t choose 😄) and tell me why you love it. Let’s build this together 🤘

I like making my own pedals so usually it is a pedal that I have cloned. We have discussed and we all agree that a decent paid job sounds way better!
Change Ringing?
Any fan of the fascinating world of change ringing/belltower ringing??

The bells are a very specific and integral part of the season's atmosphere for me ever since I was a little kid. I believe a bell tower performance was one of the first to ever really give me goosebumps. And while not exactly the same thing, who can forget the Hershey kisses commercials around the holidays!
Jamming online?
Does anyone else here ever jam online?

@Ronald Parada I have not used the ninjam only because I jam with my bassist who lives in Colorado and I am in Vermont and we like to try and do live jams as much as possible. And from what I understand, ninjam makes you record your part and it will loop until the person you're jamming with adds on to it and then that ends up getting looped. I have still considered trying it but.. we have had good enough luck most of the time with sonobus that we haven't experimented. There are some days with the internet traffic causes a more noticeable latency issue but for the most part it's workable. I'm still looking for the best option but I think latency will be an issue anytime you are sending a signal back and forth 1800 mi or so lol

@Ronald Parada I hear you brother. I'll give it a go. I've never actually used the ninjam but maybe the bass player will give it a go
MIDI or VSTs
How do you feel about VSTs do you use them in your DAWs or do you stick to traditional rackmount or pedalboard for your effects?? Are you using any MIDI peripherals, i like how they enhance the DAW experince..

I currently use pedals and VSTs. I am a left below the knee amputee, so my e drums get a little loose on the hi-hat side, (if you know what I mean) lol. I run my kit into a midi channel so I can clean up some of the slop before I mix. I also use an Akai mk2 for some ambient background stuff sometimes wonderful to set a mood. Pedals I use for my guitars both acoustic and electric. The vsts I usually use for compression and Gates and eq'ing that type of stuff. A little Master channel turd polish helps me unmask some of my tone with dynamic eq'ing and what not vsts are great for this. I make a lot of the pedals that I use. experimenting with tone is therapeutic.
