What’s ONE Plant-Based Swap That Changed the Game for You?
So many people think going plant-based means giving up flavor, comfort, or their favorite foods! It DOES NOT! To start, it’s usually one swap that opens the door to a whole new way of eating. I think when we think of getting started, shrinking what that looks like to make it palatable is necessary. 3 tips to getting started are to, check your mindset, have a practical goal, and a practical plan, regardless how simple or small. EXAMPLE: Mindset: Being healthy and eating healthy foods, supports not only my body, but my brain and ability to thrive Practical goal: Reduce mucus in my body that causes inflammation Practical plan: Swap dairy for plant based alternatives What’s one plant-based swap you’ve made that surprised you with how easy or delicious it was? To kick it off, here are a few ideas your answer could help someone else with: - Replacing heavy cream with coconut cream for richness - Swapping ground beef for seasoned lentils or walnut “meat” - Using chia or flax eggs in baking - Choosing oat milk for the creamiest coffee or smoothies - Making cashew-based Alfredo instead of dairy - Trying jackfruit for pulled “pork” texture 👇🏾 Your turn:Drop your favorite swap + how you like to use it.Someone in here needs that tip today!

I have tried all the swaps and they are pretty permanent in my cooking story now. BUT it didn't start this way! I started with the cashew cheese and it changed the game for me. Even before I changed my entire diet, dairy never served my body and had to eliminate it altogether. Not only did my body start to heal from all the mucus reduction, but I still was able to get the same great taste without the poor side effects.

@Tomeka Trawick i feel like if you can do one meatless meal per week as a swap thats a huge start! Commit to it and then move to one meatless day per week. See if swapping dairy for plant based options could work for you-another biggie. Then watch it grow from there!
Pre New Year check in
I want to check in—really check in. The holidays can look joyful on the outside, but for many of us, this space after the holiday and before the new year can feel heavy, quiet, or emotionally confusing. I’m noticing it in myself too. A mix of gratitude, exhaustion, reflection, and honestly… a little sadness. There’s no rush to reinvent yourself right now. No pressure to have clarity. This is a tender in-between space, and it’s okay if your energy feels low or your emotions feel mixed. Wellness doesn’t always look like motivation or momentum—sometimes it looks like pausing, acknowledging how you feel, and being gentle with yourself. 💭 If this resonates: How are you really feeling right now? Where are you in your wellness journey—physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually? If it doesn’t, Im curious to know what does this in between space look like for you from a wellness perspective? CTA: Share honestly in the comments. No fixing, no judgment—just space to be seen and supported. You’re not alone here.

ill go first- Right now, I’m noticing a need for more rest and emotional softness. I’m present, but moving slower. My wellness looks less like pushing and more like listening—honoring my feelings without trying to rush past them. I’m giving myself permission to just be in this moment. There are moments of self limiting beliefs and doubt, but quickly replaced with the joy of knowing that the best is still yet to come.

🛡️ This Week’s Devotion: Standing Firm in Spiritual Warfare
This week, we dove into the reality of spiritual warfare and how God equips us to stand strong. The truth is, we’re not just facing physical or emotional challenges—there’s a spiritual battle happening behind the scenes. But the good news? God gives us armor to protect ourselves and walk in victory: Primary Scripture: Ephesians 6:10–18 — The Armor of God Story Focus: David & Goliath — 1 Samuel 17 - Belt of Truth – Ground yourself in God’s Word. - Breastplate of Righteousness – Guard your heart from guilt and shame. - Shoes of Peace – Stand firm without reacting in fear or anger. - Shield of Faith – Block doubt and discouragement. - Helmet of Salvation – Protect your mind and identity in Christ. - Sword of the Spirit – Use God’s Word as your offensive weapon. - Prayer – Stay connected to your power source. Spiritual attacks often show up in our thoughts, emotions, or relationships—but when we put on God’s armor and stay grounded in Him, we can face every challenge with confidence. 💬 Let’s Share: What’s one area of your life where you’ve noticed spiritual attacks lately, and which piece of God’s armor can help you stand firm in that situation? Drop your thoughts below so we can encourage each other!

The one area of my life where I constantly notice spiritual attacks is my emotions and how I view myself. I often get down in a space emotionally, then the enemy plants negative things about me in my mind and cause me to question who God has created me to be. He's sneaky and knows our patterns, so I'm working on transforming my mind and putting on the helmet of salvation!
