I already completed the 5-day challenges in addition to the modules in bronze (halfway there, so just prepping for my 1:1 coaching call I have at the end of week). I have quite a few takeaways, but will highlight the ones that have jumped out at me most. Those are the importance of CLIP framework, the doctor mindset, and EI. CLIP gives the glimpse of the expectation of how your calls start and end. It gives you organization and clarity when dealing with your prospect so you are not talking all over the place. Doctor mindset can really help you figure out if your services will benefit the prospect or not and whether they are a fit. EI is so important to possess as you will be dealing with many different personalities of potential clients and knowing which approaches to take to address each person. It’s not a one size fits all approach when it comes to closing.
Day 5 Assignment
What is emotional intelligence and how do you use it in your day to day life? According to this content, emotional intelligence is described as, “The capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically.” Emotional intelligence is being able to recognize what triggers your emotions and the direction it may take you in, be it positive or negative when it comes to reaction. Good EI involves picking and choosing your battles, just like in life because we all know not every battle is worth fighting. Emotional intelligence can be applied to all aspects of my life. For instance, with my nursing background, I could be dealing with an active cardiac arrest that comes in. The best way I demonstrate EI is by remaining calm in doing my part to render live-saving care. Why? Because if I’m in a state of panic, I will be unable to think clearly as to what my next steps would be and liable to make more mistakes, impacting that patient’s outcome, and decreasing the quality workflow of all medical staff present and involved rendering this life saving care.
Day 4 Assignment
Why do you think it’s important to use a closing/sale framework? No wrong answers. It is important to use a closing/sale framework because in a way, it acts as a flowsheet from start to finish as to how you, as the closer, need to interact with the potential client. The first thing that comes to mind of when I think of the CLIP method, to me, it is like doing an initial nursing assessment on a patient. Get a little bit of background info, find out why they came to you, ID the problem, and properly treat it according to proper plan of care, so your patient can be in and out. The CLIP method serves as an organized and effective way to start and end your calls, knowing exactly what to say, how, and when to say it. It eliminates the unnecessary time-wasting because as a closer who’s doing well, you might have an upwards of ten plus calls a day as well as helps the closer ID right away if the potential client is serious about said services or not.
Day 3 Assignment
A closer truly takes the time to look at your needs, see if your needs fit what they can offer you, and take the time to educate their potential client on the benefits, advantages and disadvantages of their products. Thus, taking the time needed prior to calls to do proper research and education themselves on the product or service prior to the call with a new client. Closers also help assist their potential clients with making better decisions for their company. Closers are difference makers. On the other hand, your typical salesperson comes off as very pushy, annoying, and will push products on you whether it serves your best interest or not. Most times, salespeople will lack the knowledge and education regarding the product and will tell you anything just to sell. A salesperson may or may not tell you all the facts you need to know as their ultimate goal is to make a sale, regardless if their product helps the potential client or not.
Day 2:Assignment
What is the one super power you can use to conquer anything you set your mind to? What are some ways you can begin building that superpower in your day to day life? Discipline is one superpower I can use to conquer anything I set my mind to. Why so? Discipline is what helps turn into consistency. I would say motivation as well, but that is the starting point and what also goes hand in hand with discipline. Thus, with motivation plus discipline equals the consistency needed to keep going. Showing up for myself everyday, staying organized, having confidence in myself that I can crush my goals I set forth, and manifesting the life I envision for myself and my family six months to a year from now are ways to start building that superpower needed in my day to day.
