A closer truly takes the time to look at your needs, see if your needs fit what they can offer you, and take the time to educate their potential client on the benefits, advantages and disadvantages of their products. Thus, taking the time needed prior to calls to do proper research and education themselves on the product or service prior to the call with a new client. Closers also help assist their potential clients with making better decisions for their company. Closers are difference makers.
On the other hand, your typical salesperson comes off as very pushy, annoying, and will push products on you whether it serves your best interest or not. Most times, salespeople will lack the knowledge and education regarding the product and will tell you anything just to sell. A salesperson may or may not tell you all the facts you need to know as their ultimate goal is to make a sale, regardless if their product helps the potential client or not.
