Here's a Thought
"Darkness is preparation for light. Sadness is preparation for joy. Failure is preparation for success. But only if you keep going and remain open to what comes next." -James Clear
Back to basic Blue and Grey
After a couple of bold combos with blacks and various greens I went back to basic menswear blue and grey. Started with a Pendleton cotton patterned shirt and grabbed my new gaberdine light grey trousers ((my busy Stephen Giles from whom I purchased them calls them Cary Grant grey😏). Grabbed my MTM Royal blue blazer I had made for my son’s wedding in 24 and running Bison Pendleton socks with Clark’s cloth black Oxford shoes and. Weneger field watch and a reversible p square:grey seersucker/ blue tattersall.

Nice combination. I like the look.
Linen over cotton
Good evening gents! With temperatures rising in London I decided it was time to finally give linen the chance it deserves. Having only worn linen shirts, opting for linen trousers to match was new to me. But, it was a chance I was willing to take. In my commute, I found myself feeling incredibly comfortable and even told some workmates how relieved I felt when I took a chance on something new. I couldn’t help noticing how many men were still wearing heavier cotton shirts and full suits. Many looked far less comfortable than they probably wanted to be. For this outfit I went with: - Oatmeal collarless linen shirt — Charles Tyrwhitt - Navy linen trousers — Charles Tyrwhitt - Brown leather belt — Anson Belt - Brown loafers — Thursday Boots - Black no-show socks - Vincero Chrono with brown alligator leather strap What surprised me most was how comfortable the outfit remained throughout the day while still feeling suitably smart for the office.

Since I need to rebuild my wardrobe due to the weight I've shredded and its summer here in Colorado, hot and dry. I chose to start with linen shirts, jackets and pants. I agree very comfortable, staying cool and nice fit. Viva linen.
Are You Lying to Yourself?
Your absolute certainty about the way things work combined with your lack of awareness of your own ignorance is what’s causing you to lose. Most people don’t have a knowledge problem. They have an honesty problem. They refuse to tell themselves the truth about where they are, what they’re doing, and what’s required to get where they want to go. Do you really know what you think you know? Or Are you lying to yourself to justify your own unwillingness to step up and take control of your own life? ~ Andy Frisella

What’s Your Top Three
Like many enthusiasts, I have accumulated far more watches than I could ever wear regularly, yet these three have quietly distinguished themselves as the ones I reach for most often. The Tissot Chemin des Tourelles is my choice for formal occasions, offering timeless elegance and understated refinement; the Bulova Marine Star provides the perfect balance of professionalism and versatility for business casual attire; and the Seiko (Pepsi) diver remains my trusted companion for everyday wear, valued for its rugged reliability and enduring character. Each represents a different chapter of my life and wardrobe, proving that a thoughtfully chosen watch is far more than an instrument of time—it is an expression of purpose, confidence, and personal style. If I were limited to only three watches, these would be the collection I would proudly wear for years to come. Given the same categories, which are your top three watch choices?

@Darren Poesel I’ve had this one for ten or twelve years. It was my “dress” watch.
