Baby Steps
This is a quick follow up to my last post re: the need for an interim wardrobe on my weightloss journey. I spent a lovely day today clothes (and fragrance) shopping with my wife, and picked up some cheap basics like tshirts and polos for my now-it-fits-but-that-will-change temporary casual wardrobe. Had a couple of firsts... - I bought my first cashmere sweater, pictured (an absolute steal at half rrp). - For the first time since I was a literal child (I'm now 52), I fit into clothes without an X in their sizing. Turns out that if your clothes fit you, they look good. Who knew?! :-) Next up, fitting into clothes without a L in their sizing. Onward! (But first... Biscuits!)

Coins?
While we're mainly in a electronic and digital world now, I'm curious how you guys handle coins? ($2, $1, $0.25 etc. (or your countries coins)) Do you just have them in your pocket, small coin pouch? Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts and ideas.

If anyone is having issues with coins, I will take them off your hands for a small holding fee. (Seriously though, I pop coins in my back pocket until I decant them to my desk when I get home.)

Wow, you look awesome!
Trying on my old suit jacket
Thought I’d put on my old suit jacket, from when I was 56lb heavier. I look like a kid on my first day of Big School, wearing his dad’s jacket. 😄 Fit first, right? Even the T-shirt is swamping me. Perfect impetus to update my look. The work starts now!

Rebuilding Wardrobe Mid-Journey
I need some style advice. I'm a 52-year-old man looking to upgrade my casual wardrobe from jeans-and-tshirt-combos to something more elegant and timeless. Thing is, I'm midway through a weightloss journey. I've shed 56lb, and I've another 42lb to get to target (might aim for 44 to hit a cool 100, heh). So my clothes all currently swim on me, and anything I buy will SOON swim on me. I've watched a lot of RMRS vids on youtube, and the advice is all great, but it doesn't work for me at the moment. First stop, get your measurements from a tailor? They'll be out of date in a week (I hope). Next, take a stock of your current wardrobe? Literally 90% of it sits on me like a kaftan. Then buy things with a little more quality? I mean, sure, but I'm throwing the money away when I donate these now-oversize gems later in the year. So... any advice? Anyone out there who had a similar journey? I'm keen to get into this, but I feel stuck. I don't want to just revert to type and buy more of the same stuff just slightly smaller. I want to be more proactive and stylish. All comments and pointers welcome!

@Steven Hotchkiss Thanks for the advice. I think thrifting is the way to go. I'll hit the charity shops (I'm in the UK) and see if there's any of the bigger ticket items like coats and jackets that fit my frame. I don't mind picking up some more budget tshirts or polos at retail price to tide me over in the meantime.
