Welcome to D.I.N.E. - The Detroit Institute of Nutrition Education
D.I.N.E. Detroit Institute of Nutrition Education - 2026 Spring Class Schedule is Open for Enrollment! Welcome to the Detroit Institute of Nutrition Education (D.I.N.E.). You are stepping into more than a classroom—you are entering a learning kitchen, a thinking space, and a community rooted in nourishment, skill, and purpose. Here, food is not just sustenance; it is science, culture, safety, and sovereignty. Every lesson you encounter is designed to sharpen your knowledge, strengthen your confidence, and translate learning into practice you can use immediately in real kitchens and real communities. Whether you are here to earn certification, advance your career, or deepen your relationship with food and health, you belong in this space. As you begin this journey, remember that learning, like cooking, is a process of patience, precision, and curiosity. Mistakes become teachers. Questions become fuel. At D.I.N.E., we believe education should feed both the mind and the future—opening doors to opportunity while grounding you in responsibility, excellence, and care for others. You are not just preparing meals; you are preparing pathways—for yourself, for your family, and for the communities you serve. Welcome to the table. D.I.N.E. Scholarships: The D.I.N.E. scholarships open doors for Detroit residents who are navigating economic challenges with strength and determination. These scholarships are designed specifically for individuals and families receiving Mi Bridges SNAP or Medicaid benefits and who hold a valid, unexpired form of identification proving their City of Detroit residency. By removing financial barriers, these scholarships empower learners to access high-quality training in nutrition education, food safety, and culinary skills—tools that create pathways to stable employment, healthier communities, and long-term economic mobility. Being selected for an D.I.N.E. scholarship is more than financial support; it’s a statement of belief in your potential. It says that your goals matter, your ambitions are valid, and your contributions to Detroit’s food economy and public health are valued. These funds cover tuition and related educational costs at the Detroit Institute of Nutrition Education (D.I.N.E.), allowing you to focus on gaining practical skills, earning industry-recognized credentials, and building a career that can transform both your life and the communities you serve. In this city of resilience and creativity, these scholarships are bridges—not just to certificates, but to futures shaped by purpose, dignity, and opportunity.
