The goal of this group is to help you navigate the complex and rapidly evolving world of data science and artificial intelligence. This is your hub to stay up-to-date on the latest trends, learn specialized skills to turn raw data into valuable insights, connect with a community of like-minded individuals, and ultimately, become a Data Alchemist. Together, let's decode the language of data and shape a future where knowledge and community illuminate our way. Simplifying Black Installation
Hi everyone, I wanted to share a helpful video I came across that walks through the process of installing Black. While it's a straightforward process, there were a few nuances that I encountered along the way, which I thought I'd share for your benefit. You can watch the tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YapHfCRCpig After obtaining Black, please verify if you already have a file named .vscode. If you do, navigate inside and locate the file named settings.json. Update its content to match the following code: { "python.formatting.provider": "black", "editor.defaultFormatter": "ms-python.black-formatter", "editor.formatOnSave": true } In the event that you do not find the .vscode folder for any reason, create both the folder and the file. Subsequently, paste the provided code into it. So, in summary: - Folder: .vscode - File: settings.json - Code: { "python.formatting.provider": "black", "editor.defaultFormatter": "ms-python.black-formatter", "editor.formatOnSave": true } I hope you find this information as useful as I did. Warm regards, Ana 😉

@Emma May replace the content of the setting.json file with what i provided. My default path is D:\VS Code Projects\. You can change it to C://Temp//. Just make sure the Temp directory exists on the C drive.
LangChain new version
LangChain just release a new version with some new features https://blog.langchain.dev/langchain-v0-1-0/

@Dave Ebbelaar Yeah. I think the langchain-experiments project is no longer working. The APIRemovedInV1 error pops up and i can't get a response from ChatGPT. I'm still finding my feet with python and the package troubleshooting.

@Bastian Brand Thank you Bastian. I went to the LangChain website and found the new code required for the library.
Some Recent AI Project's We've Worked On 🛠️
Ever wondered how AI is transforming industries beyond the buzzwords? You're not alone. Despite the rapid advancements in AI, I've found that most people find it hard to grasp what AI can already do right now, beyond just ChatGPT and generating images. So, to give you some examples and also explain more about what I actually do behind the scenes, here are some projects we recently worked on: 1. We've launched a pilot for an AI Sales Agent powered by voice. It uses the OpenAI Azure stack and Microsoft's speech-to-text services to understand and engage with human speech, demonstrating automated sales skills. 2. We've piloted an AI Content Agent that can generate content automatically based on PDFs, increasing the rate at which any editorial team can scale its operations at a fraction of the cost. 3. We've implemented an intelligent Information Retrieval Agent to assist customer service representatives with quickly getting correct information from numerous sources through a GPT-like interface, significantly improving the time spent per customer. Additionally, we have supported our clients in defining their perspective on the application of AI by creating diverse AI strategic vision documents and roadmaps. What problem would you like to solve with artificial intelligence?

I'd love to create a model that can manage security on farms using drones by identifying movement and fires

Another handy project for cities. Train a model on controlling traffic in a city by controlling the traffic lights. Each traffic light gets a small camera so that the model can see the traffic. This way you never wait at an intersection with no traffic as the light is green before you get there, and general flow of traffic is better controlled throughout the day especially peak times.
SOLVED: LangSmith for LLM App Evaluation
I am working through the LangSmith for LLM App Evaluation tutorial. I have langsmith setup properly, but it's not showing any logs for some reason. Has anyone else had this problem?

@Brandon Phillips Yeah. I checked the LangSmith documentation to make sure the variable names didn't change and added the 4 variables to the environment file.

@Brandon Phillips Thank you Brandon. I copied the variables from the langsmith-tutorial.py file and didn't take the quotations around the variable names away🤦‍♂️. I also had a comment at the end of the line which also turns out as a bad idea as it took it all into consideration it seems. We are back in action!! LangSmith just showed my first trace.
