The Biggest Fitness Lie Exposed
…And WHY this matters for results & sanity. Most of the time we’re told the path to progress is simple: do more… more volume, more intensity, more hours, more grind. But what if ā€œmoreā€ is actually holding you back? I just dropped a note on Substack that deconstructs why the obsession with more workouts, more effort, and more willpower often ruins your body, your progress, and your sanity. This isn’t about motivation, it’s about thinking clearly about what actually moves the needle. In this note I break down: • Why ā€œmoreā€ feels like the answer but isn’t • How chasing more leads to overwhelm, burnout, and plateaus • What smarter, not harder approaches really look like If you’re tired of spinning your wheels and ready to actually understand how sustainable progress works, this one’s for you. Read it here → https://substack.com/@joshhaag/note/p-186649121?utm_source=notes-share-action&r= And while you’re there, consider hitting Subscribe!! Substack is where I unpack the ideas that help you make real change (without the BS). Let me know what hit you most in the comments below :)

@Joshua Haag going to bed earlier, not worrying if my notifications go out of control (I'm at above 200 right now, ha). Riding out the wave!:) Being okay with not doing something even if I'm excited about it. ha.

@Joshua Haag it's been interesting, but you know what???? NOT doing smoething is way easier than doing something! I was watching that free solo climbing guy (alex) and he inspired me. He has to make sure he doesn't mess up 100% of the time or he dies. All I have to do is "NOT" do something in order to get something that I want. It's been a cool mental shift to tell myself "it's actually not that hard..." haha.
Thank you Joshua šŸŽ¶
A GREAT BIG shoutout to our VYBRANT leader @Joshua Haag You are a star in my eyes ā£ļø You are a valuable assert to the world and SKOOL! Thank you also for your weekly calls — I appreciate how PATIENT YOU ARE WITH each one who joins & how much you want to help with specific needs ! PS —- I Heard someone say recently : PATIENCE ONLY GROWS when it is EXERCISED! Let’s exercise all the things that matter Our bodies Our minds And OUR SELF CONTROL in order TO GET GOOD QUALITY SLEEP AND BE PATIENT WITH OURSELVES WHEN WE DONT ! And guess what … when we are WELL RESTED it is easier to BE PATIENT! @Vasi Smith @Georgiana D hugs to you and all !

Should Fitness Influencers Be Regulated?
The fitness industry is flooded with advice that impacts hormones, joints, recovery, and long-term health… and almost none of it is regulated. Some people think that’s dangerous. Others think regulation would kill innovation and accessibility. So let’s talk about it. Side A: Fitness influencers should be regulated. If you’re giving advice that affects people’s bodies, health, and longevity, there should be accountability. Side B: Regulation would ruin fitness. Experience, creativity, and real-world results matter more than credentials. People should choose who they trust. Here’s where it gets interesting… Most injuries, burnout, and frustration don’t come from malice, they come from context-free advice being blasted to millions of people who are all built differently. • Should fitness advice come with disclaimers or guardrails? • Is personal responsibility enough — or do creators owe more? • Have you ever followed advice that worked for someone else… and wrecked you? • Where do YOU draw the line between education and entertainment? No right answers, just real conversation. Let’s hear your take šŸ‘‡šŸ¼

I think that it's a co-responsibility. Influencers need to give an informed consent and identify the risks from the beginning/throughout. Also identify their own knowledge and limitations. I also think that if possible they should get to know the people that they are influencing (but obviously that's not realistic always). I think that the people ingesting the information also need to assess where they are/what they know about themselves and buffer the information they receive accordingly. I think that a lot of people are looking for ready made answers and there is a level of uniqueness to each of us that can influence outcomes.
It’s time to rethink your protein

@Joshua Haag I agree! That vegan ones are not my favorite. What about lactose-free one? Or something about whey isolate as opposed to regular whey? Definitely hear you! It's funny how much I struggle to use protein powders, because of the extra step of just putting it together and shaking it šŸ˜‚ laziness at its best!
