Considering a switch to Skool from Patreon and would love your input!
Hi everyone, First post here! Like the title says, I'm considering a switch to Skool from Patreon (already started my trial to play around), and would love input. Especially if anyone has been through a similar case and found success. I'm a spiritual content creator, artist, & meditation teacher. I'm passionate about supporting people in sharing their authentic expression online. I currently host a small, paid Patreon community where the main benefits are: – Weekly ad-free version of my public podcast – Weekly meditation & chats via Zoom – Private Whatsapp group Benefits I intend to add: – Resources & courses (e.g. my book list with commentary on each book, meditation resource hub, how to attract an aligned audience with a completely authentic podcast, etc, basically just want to share & teach what I know) – Weekly creator support group for teachers, creators, & artists who want to show up consistently with boldness & vulnerability and could use community & accountability – Q&A sessions My idea is to start with a low price ($10/mo) and slowly raise it as I build out value. Biggest frustration when it comes to Patreon: – No calendar. It's really annoying to share the event schedule with people Biggest fears when it comes to switching: – Fear that members will jump ship when I switch, especially those who are currently on a $3/mo tier, and I'll lose the essence of the community I already have 😅 I'm curious if anyone with more experience than me can share why I might be a good use case for Skool. And if I'm being totally honest, I think I might just be looking for someone to give me permission to trust my gut.
