Fake ratings… or paranoia?
Ok. This may sound a bit crazy but for 2 days in a row I have received bad ratings with no review attached. Just thought it was a bit suspicious that this is happened all of a sudden, as it had never happened before. Also normally people that are so disappointed leave a bad review, not only a bad rating? Just wondering - is this a thing? Is it just a coincidence? Have you ever heard of attempted rating manipulation in order to harm a book title?

I had similar , 13 / 1 star reviews received in a short timeframe , clearly fake at human check, but KDP /bot decided to leave 4 of them.
How to Protect Yourself from Copyright Weaponization
Actually, @Marzena Krawczyk described the optimal system yesterday: "I use ProtectMyWork site to upload all my book before publishing, and for my bestseller I also got US copyright certificate (took me 3 month to receive it) so I hope this to be bulletproof strategy." @Laura Diaz @Elena Baldwin @Martin M. I will add a little bit to it. Protect My Work is a service that immediately generates a digital certificate with a unique reference number and the registration date, providing independent, credible proof of your copyright. At any point in time, if Amazon's bots ask you for proof of your copyright, you can instantly make them happy by providing a nice document. It's a really good idea to protect your manuscripts before uploading to review services and before sending them to freelancers on Fiverr, Upwork, etc. Also, non-conventional tricks, like collecting readers' emails by selling your coloring books on Etsy, can be protected. But wait, there's more! For Premium tier members of the Guild, we got 20% discount (£8.50 to be exact) for the first year. You can get the link in the Classroom

Amazon Ads - Is there a way to limit ads showing on product pages?
On my manual targeting kwd campaigns, I see that I'm literally bleeding money for product pages placements. The other 2 placements (top of search and rest of search) are performing so much way better for me, but there doesn't seem to be a button to deactivate product pages placement... I can't decrease bidding by a % either (at least I haven't figure it out). Any ideas?

It s difficult to advise without seeing the problem directly, since there are many variables .. 1: what stage your campaign is? I don touch Placements but when I scale up the campaign 2. Is your book fully validated ? Perhaps your book is underperforming so it needs some tweaks … 3 so u have an Ads strategy in place? I follow my own system I developed along the way .. I created my own bid engine in a excel that advise me what to do next if something happens .. ..

ADS: Arrives after Christmas
If you see that label today, on your paperback, then it s time to pause / reduce your ADs spending. I know most of you are aware of that, just a reminder…

The Tax Trap (For Authors Selling Outside Amazon)
This is for authors who sell directly to readers (not on Amazon). When you sell on your own website, you become the legal seller. That means VAT (UK/EU) and US sales tax can apply based on where your reader lives — even if you don’t live there. Most authors don’t realize this until revenue grows. The simplest fix is using a Merchant of Record (MoR). A Merchant of Record legally sells the product on your behalf and handles: • VAT and sales tax • Compliance and remittance • Refunds and chargebacks You focus on writing and marketing. They handle the legal side. Examples authors commonly use: Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Payhip (with MoR option). Amazon already does this for Amazon sales. This is specifically for authors building income outside Amazon. Question for discussion: Are you currently selling direct, or planning to in the future?
