Dreaming of Your Book on the Shelf of a Book Store?
I also have another video on the math side of this ... I'll link to that in the comments. :)

@John Read while it's possible most of the spots in the airport bookstore are paid for so you generally are best served to go through a company that has paid distribution there. A client of ours that did this paid $5000 on top of distribution fees to get his book in the airport. Another actually did it through going store to store and making friends with the buyer managers.

@K J I can't imagine you'd get in trouble ... but I've never done it so I can't say from personal experience.
Author Business Blue Print Summit - June 24 - 25
Yesterday I chatted with one of our authors who is going to be on our author panel and she said: 10 months ago I didn't have a book or a platform. Today I have booked my first keynote speaking engagement and have been on a handful of podcasts - none of that would have happened without your guidance and help! What did we do for her? Well we're breaking it down (and more) in our 2 day summit! It's free to attend! Replays will be in the Classroom for Premium members. Join us live on the 24th and 25th. Details and registration are here: www.booklaunchers.com/summit

Yes one of our clients paid $75k to be on the Wall Street Journal Bestsellers list when it was still around (they didn't pay us - we did the book and they hired the company that games the system). What the company does is give gift cards to a bunch of people all over the country and send them into the bookstores that are tracked by BookScan to buy the book. Imagine what else you can do with $75k to get your book into the hands of people who will actually read it?!

@K J If I think of it ... I can picture the guy that owns it but can only remember that I think his first name is Michael but maybe I'll remember later
Goodreads Question
How does the site work? How do I tell people to write a review for my book? How do I link the book to me? I am not sure what to do. Thanks

@Sarah Bean do you have some guidance for clients that we commonly share. I have this video but because I don't do much with Goodreads anymore I don't know that it's timely or relevant (might be a good one for us to revisit for future video content). https://youtu.be/ghqBKRCeMho
Press Release distribution
Who do you hire to do your press release about your book?

In general, I don't recommend you spend money distributing a press release - especially if your goal is actual media. It won't result in real media. That said, we are starting to reconsider this stance because of LLM discoverability. For strong backlinks, online visibility, and AI/LLM discoverability, tryL 1. EIN Presswire (~$99–$149): Affordable, excellent syndication to news sites, Google News, and journalists. Great for books. 2. Press Ranger: Best for SEO and AI visibility with guaranteed placements. By the way, it probably isn't necessary for me to say this, but your book coming out is not news. Focus on a newsworthy angle that ties back to you and your book. :)
