Changing habits
I’ve been in the habit of scheduling a lot of morning calls but plan on changing that this week… At least the 8:00 am ones that can be placed a couple of hours later. Why? I need some admin time! Especially on Monday mornings. You see I work some on the weekends but it’s usually work for myself. And I try to keep it to the fun and creative stuff. But often on Monday mornings I feel overwhelmed and behind. That’s no way to start the week! So this week, I’m scheduling at least 30 minutes of admin time at 8:00 am for everyday I don’t have a call already scheduled at that time. I will pay attention to how it feels and schedule out my following weeks in the same way. Let’s see if it helps! Do you have any scheduling tips that help lower your feelings of worry and overwhelm?

Yes. I make sure I schedule the first 90 minutes of my working day as my priority tasks before I let the world encroach on me. That way, even if I get nothing else done that I was hoping to do that day, the key things that are my priorities have been completed in that sacred time.

@Sybil Hall 😂 I just changed it up again in the DMs 😂
Substack
Many of you are using Substack to grow your audience, let people get to know you, and build trust over time. So let’s share some Substack love today. If you are on Substack, drop your link below. Then go follow a few people in the thread. Let’s show each other some love over there, too, just like we do here.

Remember: You’re not behind. You’re building!
Time freedom and financial freedom don’t come from one big moment. They come from small, repeated decisions that feel almost invisible while you’re in them. And we don’t talk about the messy middle enough… You are showing up, but maybe not seeing huge results yet. You are working hard, but still questioning if it’s “working.” You want to quit… but something in you says don’t! These are the parts that require patience. But not passive patience (unfortunately). Active patience. The kind where you: -Refocus instead of spiral. -Simplify instead of adding more. -Build systems instead of relying on motivation. -Look at your past week and ask, "What actually moved things forward last week?" Because doing more is not the goal. Doing what works is our goal. If something isn’t working, don’t give up. Instead, get hyper curious. -Where is the friction? -Where are you overcomplicating things? -What can become repeatable? -How can AI help me? This is how you build something that lasts and eventually brings you time and financial freedom. You honestly don’t need a perfect plan. I certainly don't have one. But you do need a simple system you trust. It's the 12-week year for me. And then you NEED to stick with it long enough for it to work. If you’re in that messy middle right now…(who isn't) Let's talk about one thing you could simplify this week instead of adding more. ⬇️

I know I’m late to this post… But I love the “get curious“ approach.
Let’s play.
The ABCs of Self-Care. We are building income. We are building systems. We are not building burnout. I’ll start with A. A – Ask for help before you are drowning. Now you go. B – ? Comment the next letter with one real self-care action. Not the fluffy kind. The kind that actually protects your energy while you grow. Examples to get us going: C – Close the laptop when you said you would. D – Do the hard thing first. E – Eat protein before coffee. F – Forgive yourself for imperfect execution. Let’s fill the whole alphabet in the comments. And if someone posts a letter you needed to hear, reply to them and tell them why. Your turn. B 👇
Let’s play.

W - Why: know your “why“, your reason for doing what you’re doing that makes it all worthwhile.

X-ray - clarity is key . Examine the inner workings of what you’re building, doing, and how you are spending your time. Adjust and adapt accordingly.
REPLAY - April Financial Review +
Today was the day I tracked my finances. If you didn’t join live, do it tomorrow or the next day. Just don’t skip it. This is one of those small habits that changes everything. At the end of the call, I shared how I’m using Claude to turn my spreadsheet into something I can actually see and understand. I run everything through spreadsheets so I can track what’s coming in and what’s going out. Every time I review, I catch something. Something to clean up, something to stop, or something to double down on. Here’s the simple way to make a Claude Dashboard for your spreadsheet data Open a new chat in Claude Upload your Google Sheet or a downloaded .xlsx file Hit return Claude will ask what you want to do Tell it: create a visual dashboard as a PDF or HTML artifact Add any extra instructions if you want multiple months combined Then ask it to turn this into a repeatable skill Save the skill Create a project called Monthly Finances Type / and select your saved skill Upload next month’s spreadsheet Watch what it builds for you I was going to share my skill, but it was made for me. If you want me to templatize it, comment below! If you’re working on April, start there. That’s your clean starting point. If you didn't do this live with me, tell me below when you’re sitting down to track April. And if you need a place to begin, use my spreadsheet template. I keep one for each income stream inside my brand, Burn Bright, Not Out: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1K3B-qnVkrFMkpRq0zbrQNdT-7sH-pFi3m1PI7kgsVdM/edit?usp=sharing This is easy work that can be hard to do, but it’s not optional if you want clarity in your spending and income. I love this breakdown of how to use Claude to turn the spreadsheet into a visual dashboard. Brilliant!
