🎉 Wednesday Win: Have You Heard of the Progress Principle?
Today's idea comes from Teresa Amabile's research on what actually keeps people motivated, and it completely changed how I think about success. Most of us believe motivation comes from the big moments. "I'll feel successful when I launch." "When I get my first sale." "When I hit my income goal." But what if motivation doesn't come from the finish line? Amabile's research introduced The Progress Principle, the idea that one of the biggest drivers of motivation is making meaningful progress, even in small ways. Instead of asking: ❌ "Have I made it yet?" you ask: ✅ "What progress did I make today?" It's a subtle shift, but a powerful one. It moves us from chasing occasional breakthroughs to recognizing the small wins that build momentum. Over the next few Wednesdays, I'd love to explore this idea together through the lens of Income Without Burnout. Not just how we celebrate success... But how do we notice the progress that creates it? 💬 To start us off, finish this sentence in the comments: One win I'm celebrating this week is...

Letting go of trying to get everything done on Monday and burning myself out by Tuesday lunchtime… It feels amazing and I’m actually managing to get SOME things done… Better than doing a load and then crashing so nothing else it’s possible to get done.
The 12 • 12 • 12 Decluttering Challenge
Feeling overwhelmed by clutter? Don’t organize the whole house. Just pick one room and do this: ✅ Find 12 things to donate 🗑️ Find 12 things to throw away 🏠 Find 12 things to put back where they belong That’s just 36 small decisions. You’ll create more space, reduce visual clutter, and build momentum without spending your whole day cleaning. Small, consistent actions beat overwhelming weekend projects every time. 💛 Who’s in? What room are you tackling first?

This is my project room – we lovingly call it the library even though it’s 6 x 8 foot it can become a real dumping ground… Time for 12 x12 X 12 👌
Week 4: 💛 Focused 12 Weekly Check In
Before you start this week, take 90 seconds to reflect on last week. Why? Research shows that people improve performance when they regularly measure progress, reflect on results, and make small adjustments. Reflection creates awareness. Awareness creates better decisions. Better decisions create better results. This is not about perfection. It is about execution. Use the Weekly Celebration Tool to complete your reflection, then come back and comment below with your 90 Second Weekly Check-In. 90 Second Weekly Check In 1. Execution Score_____ % of planned commitments completed 2. Celebrate One Win 3. What Worked? 4. What Got in the Way? 5. One Lesson Learned 6. One Commitment for This Week Drop your check in below or create a new post. We are here to celebrate, encourage, and help you keep moving forward one week at a time. 🌱

Healing Happens Here
Yesterday I watched a mama great horned owl patiently teaching her baby to fly. A little later on our walk around the lake, I spotted a baby deer drinking from the lake. Those quiet moments reminded me why I spend so much time outside. Immersing myself in nature helps me slow down, clear my mind, and come back feeling more grounded. It’s one of the simplest ways I know to recharge and reconnect with what matters to me. Sometimes the greatest lessons aren’t found in books or on screens. They’re waiting for us in the woods, by the water, and in the stillness. 💛 What have you noticed in nature lately that made you pause?

Nature can be such a gift.
🎯 Let’s talk about goals
Not all goals are the same type. Some are growth goals. You’re building something new, learning a skill, launching a product, or increasing your income. Some are maintenance goals. Keeping healthy habits going. Serving existing clients well. Staying consistent. Protecting what you’ve already built. Some are recovery goals. Restoring your energy. Paying off debt. Simplifying your business. Creating margin again. Some are freedom goals. Building systems, assets, and income streams that give you more choices over time. 💛 Which type best describes your biggest goal right now? Or is it something else? Tell us about it in the comments!

Interesting breakdown of goals – I’ve never thought of it like that.
