🚨 Classroom Update! 🚨
I have some exciting news... Today, I've completely overhauled the classroom experience. After taking a step back, I realized the old setup had become a little too cluttered and confusing, making it harder to find what you actually needed. So I went through everything and reorganized it from the ground up. ✅ Simplified the graphics so they're easier on the eyes ✅ Clearly labeled Premium and VIP content so you know exactly what's available to you ✅ Added a brand-new Book Marketing Vault dedicated to marketing workshops and strategies ✅ Consolidated other training into the Create Your First Book classroom for a more streamlined learning path Don't worry—nothing has been removed. All of the content is still here. It's simply organized in a way that should make it much easier to navigate and get results. I'd love your feedback! Take a look around the updated classroom and let me know: 👉 What's easier to find now? 👉 Is there anything that still feels confusing? 👉 What would make the experience even better for you? Your feedback helps me continue improving the community for everyone.

@Krista Brea, I hear you! I'm working on finally updating my website today. It's so outdated.
Skool & Ads Helped Cover My Italy 🇮🇹 Trip
As some of you know, I've been traveling internationally and am currently visiting Italy. What you might not know is how I've been leveraging my business to help support my travel. One of my favorite strategies is making sure my business expenses are working for me instead of just being expenses. For example, I use an American Express Business Gold Card. (I realize this may be more beneficial for those in the U.S.) The reason I love this card is because it allows me to earn Membership Rewards points on business spending, which I can then use toward flights and travel. Check this out... Last month alone, I spent about $1,000 on Amazon ads. That spending earned me 4x points. But that's not the only category that earns bonus points. Many of the Skool communities I've joined also code as business services, which means those expenses have earned me 4x points as well. Think about that for a minute. Sure, it may not look like much right now but over the course of a year just amazon and skool alone might be pulling in 65k annual points. I was already planning to spend that money to grow my business. By using the right credit card, I'm earning rewards that help fund future travel experiences. This is why I always encourage business owners to look at their entire business ecosystem. Don't just focus on generating revenue. Also look at how you're spending money and whether those expenses can create additional value. 👉 Advertising. 👉 Software subscriptions. 👉 Communities. 👉 Business tools. If you're already spending money in these categories, you might as well earn rewards while doing it. If you're spending a lot on Amazon ads, software, or Skool memberships and you're not using a card that rewards those purchases, it may be worth taking a closer look at the Amex Business Gold and seeing if it makes sense for your situation. Check out the benefits of the American Express Business Gold Card

@Krista Brea, no but that’s a good idea! I have a personal Amazon CC that I buy Amazon purchases with. Since I pay all credit cards off every month, I like the idea of opening another Amazon CC for my business. I keep all business and personal credit cards and banks separate.

@Krista Brea, amazing!
They really arrived. ❤️
Yesterday, I got to hold my very first Brave Little Colors books in my hands. What started as an idea to help children with diabetes feel seen, encouraged, and represented is now a real book that families can hold, color, and enjoy together. As I flipped through the pages, I felt so much gratitude. Gratitude for the support, encouragement, and kindness I've received throughout this journey. Gratitude for the children and families who inspired these books. And gratitude that I didn't give up when things felt overwhelming. These books were created to remind kids that diabetes is only one part of their story. They are brave, strong, capable, and amazing exactly as they are. Thank you to everyone who has followed along, shared kind words, and believed in this mission. This is just the beginning for Brave Little Colors. https://tinyurl.com/DiabetesSuperpowerGirl2 https://tinyurl.com/DIabetesSuperPowerBoy2 https://tinyurl.com/MyWheelsMyBraveAdventure

Why Every Author Needs a Skool Community
I've been getting back into creating more YouTube content lately, and one topic I want to talk more about is why I think every author should seriously consider building a Skool community. One of the biggest advantages is how simple it is. ✅ Collect email addresses from members ✅ Send emails when you publish new posts ✅ Host live calls without needing Zoom ✅ Create free and paid membership options ✅ Build relationships with readers and customers in one place ✅ Get started for as little as $9/month on the Hobby plan For authors, this can become much more than just a community. It can be a place where readers connect with you, ask questions, get behind-the-scenes updates, join book launches, and eventually work with you more closely through courses, coaching, or memberships. Another thing I like is that Skool is actively promoting communities through its discovery platform, which can help new people find your group organically. If you haven't started your own community yet, I think it's worth looking into. START CREATING YOUR OWN COMMUNITY TODAY I'm curious... What other benefits do you think authors can gain from having a Skool community? Drop your thoughts below 👇 I'm collecting ideas for an upcoming YouTube video and would love to hear your perspective.

@Krista Brea, so true!
📚 I read as a learner and as an author
One thing I’ve been trained to do my whole career as an educator is pay attention to what authors do. As a teacher, I taught kids to notice author’s craft and try the techniques in their own writing. And as an author, I can’t help but do the same thing when I read. This weekend I started The Miracle Morning and by page 2 (there are lots of sections before the book starts!) I had already pulled out my notebook and made a T-chart. On one side: Content On the other: Author Moves Under Content, I captured this quote: “I would argue that becoming the best version of ourselves and creating the life we want is what should be focused on each day.” Under Author Moves, I noted: 1. First spread: Watch the movie (QR code) 2. First spread: Download the app (QR code) 3. Real-life stories of transformation and testimonials 4. Invitation to join the community after I’m hooked by the introduction and can’t wait to keep reading more! I find it fascinating to learn from both sides at the same time. What is the author teaching? And what is the author doing? The book isn’t just a book. It’s connected to a movie, an app, and a community. Just like many of us are trying to do! Every page is teaching me something about personal growth and something about building a body of work that helps people beyond the pages of a book. As authors and creators, we should be studying everywhere we go. What is one smart thing you’ve noticed recently in a book, course, community, podcast, or product you’ve consumed? Drop it below. 👇

@Krista Brea, you are welcome! I was so impressed by how well everything was laid out that I had to capture it! Today is day one of my Focused 12 and one of my two goals is to research, create, and launch a new KDP book! Let’s go! I’m going to make mine as strong as this one!
