Greatness vs comfort
Just wanted to share a quick video I made for social media. Open to positive criticism guys!

Yes, exactly. I shot another video with the same idea in mind, that to create something great, you have to sacrifice a bit more, and put in the extra effort. Just editing it now, stay tuned! ☺️

@David Jarama thanks for the info, yes. Next time I'll use something less distracting.
Allow Myself to Introduce Myself
Hi I’m Steve on Chicago! I help people create VSLs (video sales letters) to sell their courses and grow their Skool communities As far as Filmmaking goes, I have written, directed, edited and produced shorts, sketches and a web series. I’ve had one feature screenplay briefly optioned by a Hollywood producer, and I’ve had a tv pilot screenplay make it to the semi-finals top 15% of the New York Television Festival. Sadly neither project got off the ground and my busy travel day job took over. My whole focus now is creating business income to replace my travel job, so filming is on the back burner. But when @Jonas Marcel invited me to join I was very interested to learn his story, looking forward to it! 🎥 When I’m not Skooling I like to rollerblade, paddleboard and go on random adventures all over the country. Last year was a hot air balloon, so what should I do next?

Welcome bro! What adventures you've had! Would love to connect. I'm working hard to get my video agency off the ground, sounds like you could offer some advice. I'm based in Toronto, just a bit north of you. Can't wait to see what your next adventure will be!
Update on my Mini-Film project
I’ve also been filming a lot of content for my YouTube channel and other projects. As well as still working my personal mission of helping my clients. Additionally, the interview that I shot is just too impossibly hard to edit for me. It’s a fantastic interview and he’s wildly interesting, but it doesn’t seem honorable to cut this up. I thought about just taking a few sound bites and frames bit to do that slices the core of his message and then I’m rewriting it. And I don’t want to do that. It destroys my theme of honoring his words. So busyness coupled with a complete block on where to go next has resulted in one thing: So my project has taken a backseat. 🙁

There are also AI tools that will help you cut interviews. I don't have lots of experience with it, but I've heard eddie.ai is a good one. You can do the first edit for free. You can find a tutorial on YouTube.
Serious question for filmmakers and creators
When you don’t have the budget you need, do you wait… or find another way forward?Crowdfunding changed things for me. Curious how others here handle this.

Hey Marvin, I'm very curious about crowd funding. Please tell me more about it. How do you convince someone to get onboard with your vision? Do you offer them something? To answer your question, I tend to invest in essential gear, then figure out the rest. I don't mind paying for getting access to amazing places, but getting creative with your story and resources is definitely key for me.
Skip the struggle, lose your wings
The follow up video, exploring the role that focus, effort and sacrifice has in creating beauty, art the skill to do so. I'm open to positive criticism everyone!

The purpose of highlighting this old historic church is to show the extra effort required to build something beautiful that lasts. All the extra time and attention they put in not just to make a building, but to make something beautiful. I really appreciate these old historic buildings for that reason.
