I’ve also been filming a lot of content for my YouTube channel and other projects. As well as still working my personal mission of helping my clients. Additionally, the interview that I shot is just too impossibly hard to edit for me. It’s a fantastic interview and he’s wildly interesting, but it doesn’t seem honorable to cut this up. I thought about just taking a few sound bites and frames bit to do that slices the core of his message and then I’m rewriting it. And I don’t want to do that. It destroys my theme of honoring his words. So busyness coupled with a complete block on where to go next has resulted in one thing: So my project has taken a backseat. 🙁

The subject of my mini film challenge is my dear friend, Edmond Coisson. He’s a 70 year old Italian immigrant who came to America and followed all of the appropriate procedures for becoming a citizen in 1997. I chose him specifically because he has a such a deep and abiding love for a country that is not his native. And because he has a special charm and joie de vivre. I think he will be a challenge for multiple reasons. He’s a film maker, producer, director and accomplished screenwriter. I’ve told him not to teach me anything in that vein. Even if I look like I’m messing something up, let me. I have to learn: And because he’s such a wise teacher, he agreed. I also believe it will be a hefty challenge to keep this film to 3-5 minutes. He’s a wonderfully layered human with vast experiences and knowledge and a fount of wisdom. It will be interesting and rewarding to learn to trust my instincts on editing and allowing the film to lead me to its message. I look forward to introducing this beautiful man to you. 🎥
