Demand Gen and bad Youtube placements
I'm running several Demand Gen campaigns and i'm getting very bad results due to Youtube placements. I have ad groups with 500-1000 clicks from Youtube over the course of 2 weeks and they generated 0-1 conversions, see attached. These are regular Demand Gen ads, no videos. The ads and campaigns worked great when it was Discovery but are horrible as Demand Gen. Is there a way to block these? The reports don't give the exact URL of the video or the channel.

Thank you, Austin for a detailed reply. The strange thing is that i have been running lead gen for these sites for several years. Gmail ads did great. Discovery was amazing initially but was just ok later on. As soon as i was switched to Demand Gen beta things went downhill big time. Most campaigns are not profitable at this point.

@Austin LeClear I found these settings under Content Suitability which seem to eliminate most but not all Youtube placements. Keep in mind that these will block all display and Youtube placements (on the account level) that fall under the checked category. Also, Google requires 1 category to be unchecked, so we need to determine which one has better traffic or the least amount of traffic.

Any tips/suggestions for the Demand Gen campaigns? They went downhill after the switch from Discovery.
