Gen V LT in 1967 Chevelle - WIP
Will keep this thread running with pics and progress swapping a Gen V LT1 into a '67 Chevelle. This first post discusses the fundamentals for getting the engine into the car. On the chassis side it has stock SBC frame stands in the factory position. On the engine side I used ICT Billet 551363x Gen V LT to SBC motor mount adapters coupled with Moroso 62500 solid motor mounts in the forward most "1" holes so that the bellhousing lands in the stock location...so that my transmission crossmember and driveshaft can be re-used. There is a minor clash with the mount and the vacuum pump provision (only exists on early gen V blocks: L83, L86, LT1/4/5, won't be an issue on L84, L87, L8T later blocks) that you can either mod the mount or the block, I chose to grind on the block a bit since I won't be using the factory vacuum pump and plugged the vacuum ports with ICT Billet 551298 plugs. You'll also need a suitable swap oil pan. I chose the Holley 302-20, which clears everything by a mile! I exchanged their oil cooler blockoff with an ICT Billet 551357. Next post(s) will talk about about engine prep, trans install, and then header fitment. Check back soon..

Supercharger options for rectangle port L92
What options are out there both GM and aftermarket for a L92 rectangle port 6.2l?

Real cold air ?
Ran my air intake pipes this week. I wanted something different and clean with no large air box. So we went thru the inner fender, I like the way it turned out. I looked a lot for other examples but not a lot out there.

1966 C10 Gen V LT1 with 8L90. Interior is done , just dropped the engine in a few months ago. All the plumbing is done , just need to wire a few more things. Biggest problem is time , 3 year build so far , but getting real close to the finish. https://youtube.com/@justcantsitstill?si=otcM75jg5Lg01nof
