Feedback about the app for reflection and self-agency
Hello everyone, especially those navigating complexity and uncertainty in their work. Could I ask your feedback? I’m building a very early version of a small app called GoBack: https://www.gobackapp.com It’s designed for people who juggle multiple threads of work and sometimes feel unsure what to focus on next. In a way, it’s an experiment in supporting self-agency: helping translate reflection into action without overwhelm. The idea is simple: β†’ return β†’ remember where you left off β†’ take one small step forward If you try it for 3–5 minutes, I’d really value your thoughts: β€’ What felt helpful? β€’ What felt unclear? β€’ What felt missing? β€’ Does it support you in moving from reflection to action? Thank you πŸ™

@Ruta Jakute as a context person. I found it a bit confusing. Perhaps it's my need to track against goals or progress. I wonder what it looks like in the long run after there are a lot of entries. Does it show you a list or do you need to flip back through it?
VIA Strengths, mindfulness and nature study
Hi. If you are familiar with the work of Martin Seligman on Flow, you might be aware of the free character Strengths assessment (VIA). They are conducting a study to examine the impact on nature connectedness, pro-environmental/pro-nature behaviour, and well-being and are looking for participants. I have attached the study document. The link to sign up is on the document.
Hope - Community conversation on Nov 4th
Yesterday one of my Spanish connections told me about Hope - The Series https://hopetheseries.vhx.tv/, by Javier Pena Has any one here seen it? To me it sounds like it's more inclusive (17 countries covered) and focuses more on hope and positive stories. Specifically the last episode that says: This chapter highlights the critical role of indigenous communities and the urgent need to eradicate gender inequality to regenerate the planet and address the climate crisis. Would love to hear if anyone has seen it and what they thought

@Veronique Sikora Gasser I did too but my friend found she felt quite helpless and awful. Curious what makes the difference. The one by Barack Obama is really good too. 5 videos, one for each ocean.

@Sarah Santacroce I would be up for that. Sorry for the long delayed reply
Hello and Intro
Hi, my name is Lisa and I'm happy to join this group dedicated to IDG development. I am Canadian originally but now live in Burkina Faso, in West Africa since 2009. I am an environmental engineer and have worked for the government of Canada developing emissions trading platforms and policies for NOx/SOx and GHGs. In the last decade, I have focused on working in wildlife conservation and also consulting and coaching. My coaching and consulting is largely centered around changemakers in sustainable development, whether in conservation, environment or development, to help them have more access to their resilience and passion in their work. I participated in the IDG conference last year when Tony Bond said "We're not having a climate crisis, we're having a behaviour crisis". This is the focus of my work - to help people have more access to their higher self, have better control over their stress and overwhelm so that we can be more creative, productive, supportive, logical, and problem-solving. The world needs us all to be at our best, more than ever. I look forward to connecting with you - perhaps over a virtual coffee - learning more about the IDGs and their application, and hearing about all the wonderful work you are doing in the world.

Decolonisation of the IDGs a conversation that started at Caux
This message is from Rukmini who attended the Caux Forum Dear all, some of you here joined the conversation on decolonisation yesterday. Thank you! I have attempted to capture our thoughts and also added some more in this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13GsSpR3EFRNSvKW42rRtFl0o3v-TfFRww0WGeZcvGTA/edit?usp=sharing At the moment it is a sort of a concept note. If the IDG Foundation is interested, we might be able to continue working on it as a collaborative working paper, perhaps. This group was created because several of you expressed the need to continue this conversation. We could also collectively figure where we want to take this ahead. Cheers, Rukmini

Hello. I just wanted to give my support for this document and the expansion/maturation of the IDGs. Living in West Africa, this speaks to my concern for people who are living in humanitarian crisis, poverty and insecurity. How do we bring them into the conversation? How do we make the IDGs more practicable because without application they are just nice words? I do feel that there is more expected from people who have more (I am Christian, but accept all forms of religion) and there is a bible verse that basically says, more is expected from those who are given more. I feel the Global North has much responsibility to embody these goals and clean up their/our sh^^. But a scarcity mindset can and does show up even in millionaires. I am curious about this hangout. What time zone 12h30? and where do we find to connect? Thanks all
