After Working With Manus for 6 weeks - A Critical Caveat
I love Manus. Manus has helped me create one e-commerce website (80+ pages), one business website, and one app. I’ve also performed extensive deep research on a product that should launch in a few months and has creating stunning spreadsheets. However, Manus CHEWS through credits and has inherent billing issues, so I wanted to offer a big heads up, so you don’t get a surprise the way I did. After signing up, I quickly exceeded my credits, so I topped up a few times. I was building a website so I expected higher costs. As I was buying credits, in the background Manus increased my future pricing tier each time I topped off. So, I lowered my subscription renewal to the $40.00 level about a week and 1/2 before my renewal. But when my subscription renewed, Manus charged me $500. Getting in touch with support was virtually impossible. It took 6 days for customer service to respond by email with a short message, explaining tersely, that they would credit me for what I hadn’t used and reset me to the free account level. Even after explaining I wanted a paid level, they still adjusted me down to a free level. Credits are still handled strangely, so be careful. Also, as for the 300 daily credits we get… we can only use them in Manus Lite. Here’s their explanation. *If you do not see your daily refresh credits in your total amount of credits, you may be in Manus 1.6 or Manus 1.6 Max mode. Daily refresh credits can only be used in Manus 1.6 Lite mode. Hmmm…
