One of yesterday’s wins. First time getting my nose on this one actually. I do have the black which I enjoy now and again but this takes it to the next level. Something of a notch above 👌🏼. Definitely a bit deeper and less bright. Released in 06’ with what seems like a solid run up until 17’ when it was discontinued. Online it says there’s no official discontinued date though 🤔. Reseller prices don’t seem to be too insane. In similar polo fashion projection isn’t the greatest and longevity is not far behind 🤷🏻‍♂️. DNA though 👍🏼. This is what polo black should’ve been from the beginning, in my opinion. Anyway enjoy the day brothers. Smell great out there.

Wrapping up a week of meetings and decided to go with this Citrus Gourmand scent. The opening is a sweet Honey scent that projects quite well. At 15 minutes the projection of this fragrance is quite intense. The sweetness has settled down, but I have still have not picked up on any of the citrus. To my nose the scent went right into the mid notes with a slight spiciness from the Cinnamon and a touch of florals. At 30 minutes the fragrance is maintaining the sweet and floral scent profile. I am starting to pick up some of the Tobacco and when combined with the Honey it smells amazing. 60 minutes into the wear I am picking up the sweetness from the Vanilla/Tonka. To my nose there is definitely a difference between the sweetness of the Honey and the Vanilla/Tonka. The Vanilla/Tonka is more creamy and nutty but has a greater subtleness than the Honey. The dry down of this fragrance is a sweet and smokey scent that is blended extremely well. Projection is Very Good throughout the wear with a scent bubble of 2+ feet for the first 2 hours minimum. Longevity on my skin is 8+ hours. This is definitely a full bottle worthy fragrance. Sprays were 4 on neck and 1 on each wrist.

So many of the brothers have been rocking this gem lately, so I decided to give it another wear. Released last year Absolu has taken the Original Bottled dna, added some fruity elements and magnified it. This is a more refined version, it's rich, dark & deep. I would honestly believe its the best in the entire line, and I own quite a few now. This is as close to beast mode as Boss have ever been. I like this so much it has managed to slide into my top 10 as a new entry at no 5. It opens up with crisp Apple & a juicy plum note which is ballanced with a warm cinnamon to great effect. That initial sweetness that this fragrances revolves around is that plum note, which gives a beautiful sweetness. The mid notes introduce a leather accord, which stands out well. Patchouli & myrrh add some depth. The dry down reveals a rich blend of sandalwood, musk & cedarwood/amber, which give it a warm, woody character. on occassion im also picking up on a touch of smoky incense. Performance is something else here. Whilst some of its siblings fall short here, Absolu will have your back for the best part of the day, were talking up to 12 hours here. Good projection with a nice scent bubble too. Definitly a colder weather, night time, date night scent. My Rating 9/10 Scent 3 Longevity 2.5 Sillage 2.5 Y/N 1

I have Christmas dinner at the country club on Monday. My collection has wildly changed since last year's dinner. Last year I wore FW Suits, an excellent alternative to YSL Tuxedo. Looking for some ideas. Maybe I have it or something in that space. What say you? Some that I am thinking of - J'Adoube - Grand Master - Mentor - Oajan - Intense Cafe
