Let's have a walk🚶♂️Do you know forest bathing? 🌲🚶♂️🌳🌲🚶♂️🌳🌲🚶♂️🌳🌲🌳
First, I love trees. especially the Birch tree, because it's a pioneer species and a symbol of rebirth, new beginnings, and growth. It is a sacred tree in the Celt mythology and is thought to have a protective influence. Birch Trees are known to be powerful. Some studies done about the Japanese concept called Shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing”) have demonstrated the power of trees in terms of growth, open-mindedness, strength and inner peace. What exactly is forest bathing? The term comes from Japan in the 80’s as a physiological and psychological exercise called Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing or taking in the forest atmosphere). There are 2 ideas behind the purpose of the forest bathing concept: to offer an eco-antidote to tech-boom burnout. and to inspire residents to reconnect with and protect the country’s forests. The Japanese quickly embraced this form of ecotherapy. In the 90s, researchers began studying the physiological benefits of forest bathing, providing the science to support what we innately know: This practice is a process of relaxation. Because it is the simple method of being calm and quiet amongst the trees, observing nature around you whilst breathing deeply, can help both adults and children to reduce stress and boost health and wellbeing in a natural way. You can just go to a forest or a park and walk around and why not hunting mushrooms or berries? But also simply sitting down under the trees. Another way is to give a big hug to the tree to feel the connection with Mother Nature. Personally, I do love having a walk and sitting against a tree, reading a book, and sometimes just smelling the forest. But sometimes it is just about looking for some fruits around me. My favorite thing is observing the wildlife and meditating when life comes back in spring. And this is one of the reasons this website is about trees. Nature combined with inner exploration is one of the best ways to realise our potential. Finding inner peace in a safe environment you find by yourself and feeling the inner connection could help even when you come back home and need to retrieve the peace using this memory as a booster or a safer tool.
