Been around a while, and after attending a football themed birthday party for a 10yr old, I can kind of see why. Before the party even started a dad had blasted the ball in a kids face, bursting his nose. There was at least four kids in tears because of over zealous, and uncoordinated parents hurting them. So easy for a kid to pick up a serious injury when it's a 13st bloke vs a 5st kid. It was definitely a bit of an eye opener for me.

My lad had his NCFC development session this evening. Must be mad in this heat. 34 degrees here. Least I had some shade to wait in 😂

@Xavier Stark Yeah, I like the sun, but it doesn't necessarily like me. My sunburn has sunburn 🦀😂 Oh, and he did enjoy it, as there was only two of them there, so they got loads of time on the ball 😃

Heartbroken
So this week at school, my 10 year old son Elliot was just minding his own business doing keepy uppys when another boy in the playground decided to slide tackled him, the outcome of that tackle a double fracture which requires surgery, and plates / screws fitting to help him heal right I am absolutely heartbroken for him as football is his life, he loves being a goalkeeper and playing football Im going to assume a long road to recovery for him due to the severity of the break I want to try and cheer him up a bit as he is very scared nervous, but I dont know hows the best way to approach it Thanks Jamie

Poor lad 😟 I recall seeing something recently that some small words of comfort for injured players is that "injuries are part of the footballing journey". Small bloody consolation, though. Wish him a speedy recovery from all the community.
