Absolutely incredible performance from this young man today. Played a very competitive game, ending in a 1-0 victory for us. Could have been a different scoreline if this lad wasn't on it. A clean sheet, parents player of the match, and also opposition coaches player of the match. Chuffed to bits for him 😊

@Kian Patterson yeah, I see a lot of young keepers not getting the support they should from their teams. They just get chucked in goal, in training, as an obstacle for the outfield players. Then get the flack when they don't know how to deal with something during a game. It's a shame. I'm not a GK coach by any means, but I brought this lad on to our team and I see it as my responsibility to make sure he gets adequate training. So I make sure at least half of our training sessions are dedicated to 1-2-1s and I'm doing all I can to increase my knowledge and pass it on to him. Hence why I've joined this community.

Padded Gear
What, if any, type of padded gear do you guys use? I'm particularly interested in what the best options are now the weather is getting a bit warmer. Would it just be the compression shorts and T? Also, are they a worthwhile investment in terms of offering protection? Cheers 😊
