Centralized Trading
Hi All! We are considering hiring a trader and centralizing our trading process (currently each advisor is doing their own trading). I was curious if any of you have a "trading" role and what other responsibilities you have that person manage outside of trading? With our current volume of trading, managing trades alone wouldn't be a full time position. Thanks!

Hi Becky, We're in the exact same boat at Seaside. At my previous firm, we had a detail-oriented tenured CSA handle trade execution. Any market orders were processed immediately by that person. I then reviewed all trades for accounts on model at a set time each day prior to market close. This process worked well. As we grew, I was able to bring in another person to handle daily review. I am looking to get to a similar point at Seaside as right now, our trading is executed by a third party.

@Becky Adams We had models assigned to accounts. So it was very simple. If a client needed $40,000, we would simply submit a "Raise Cash" request in the amount of $40,000. This ensured the model remained in alignment.
Phone System
Hey there, we are looking to upgrade our phone systems. Specifically, an option that works well for conferencing 4 or more people. Our current provider, MedTel, does not offer this option. We have also been battling a lot of spam calls. The spam filter MedTel said would help is not. We get at least 10 calls a day about our Google business listing 😵‍💫 We are considering Microsoft 365 Audio Conferencing and would love to hear any insights (good or bad) on this option. Please let me know your recommendations. Thanks!

I previously used RingCentral and Zoom VoIP. Had positive experiences with both platforms. Zoom is more cost effective while Ring has all the bells and whistles. Currently using Lightspeed... it's okay. I will be vetting solutions later this year. I had looked at Aircall and was planning to move forward but they dropped the ball on customer service and a billing. Wouldn't recommend them based off my experience.
Who does your IT?
Hi -- we are a 4 person office atm, but growing. We are using godaddy for our M365 subscriptions. They are a hot mess when anything goes wrong - and we are interested in getting off their platform. This will involve defederating and then figuring out if we self manage subscriptions and storage/backup. I am debating between hiring a CSP or doing this myself. I've identified one CSP but would like alternatives to review and don't find any that seem reliable. Any recommendations or experiences to share?

I used to use Agio and loved them. I was one of their biggest endorsers. They were acquired by Netrio, I would not recommend them anymore. My current firm uses Network Titan, they're okay. I know there's better out there, but they do the job and have nice enough people on their team. I know of a few others too. If interested, just ping me.

Claude Group Plan reccs
Does anyone have any recommendations for a group plan for Claude? We haven't introduced to our firm yet, however we would like to start with a smaller group of individuals- approximately 10 users.

Hi Sami! Yes, I just acquired a Teams plan for my firm this week. I have to say, it's so much better than ChatGPT. I really like their "Projects" tool. Teams is perfect for groups of 5+. Pay annually, and you save ($25/mo or $300 annually versus $20/mo or $240 annually).
