Phone System
Hey there, we are looking to upgrade our phone systems. Specifically, an option that works well for conferencing 4 or more people. Our current provider, MedTel, does not offer this option. We have also been battling a lot of spam calls. The spam filter MedTel said would help is not. We get at least 10 calls a day about our Google business listing ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ We are considering Microsoft 365 Audio Conferencing and would love to hear any insights (good or bad) on this option. Please let me know your recommendations. Thanks!
SharePoint Guidance
Hey all! We are using SharePoint for our internal document management tool. We recently acquired an IAR and added a Jr. Advisor. Each of these people needs different permissions. We want to make sure we structure our SharePoint so we have a "common space" for shared resources, and then set permissions so our Junior is not privy to everything just yet. Basically, we are seeking a one-time project from someone who knows SharePoint well and can guide us on the proper way to add new members and permissions. What we have tried to date has not worked, and it seems like we are spending more time undoing those mistakes. Any recommendations?

Schwab Master Account Structure for Growing RIA
Looking for suggestions on how to structure our Schwab Master Accounts, for those with experience in scaling an RIA. We are a growing team, just acquired another advisor, and then added one of our own advisors. We are trying to decide between individual account visibility settings or creating brand new Master Accounts for each advisor. For context, our own Advisor currently has 9 Masters. We estimate that each advisor, due to the strategies we are running, would need their own 7 Masters. This is quickly adding up for those of us who have access to all of them! Is this the best approach - adding their own Master accounts? Or would it be better to manage visibility for each new account and add them to existing masters? TIA!

PreciseFP Forms
Hi Operators! Wanted to see if there were any other PreciseFP users in this crowd. We recently adopted it and have set a new client onboarding template - gathering all their details about employment, assets, liabilities, goals, family, etc. It's quite thorough (and long!). We also set up a template for our annual update, so that existing clients can confirm their details, and also tell us about anything new/send new statements for financial planning. What else are y'all using it for? There are plenty of options in their library, just not sure where to start and what will really be practical. For example, for our practice, estate planning would be better suited in a conversation than a form. Would love to hear how you are using the tool the most!

@Babette Switzer Thank you for sharing. We are definitely loving it too! It's much more effective than the pdfs we used to send. And I feel like it elevates the client experience.
Client Identity Verification via SMS OTP
Our firm is working on strengthening our cybersecurity and would like to implement an identity verification tool to use with clients. With the increase in hackers using A.I. to impersonate voices and spoof phone numbers, we would like to use a tool to send clients a SMS verification code when they call in with requests and verify the code. We found Twilio Verify, but after digging more into the tool, it seems that it is just an API tool that requires you to code it into an existing website/app or use 3rd party vendors with it. It just seems much more complex than we would prefer. I would love to see what other RIA firms are doing to verify client identities and what tools are being used for SMS OTP verification.

We need something like this, too! Just had a client give us the wrong last 4 digits of a bank account, which is very out of character. Because none of the support team knew him well enough, we were concerned it was a fake and couldn't decide how to verify. The Advisor had to call and catch up with him before confirming. This is exactly what we are trying NOT to do: add more to our Advisor's plate. @Jayce Nall, Do some CRMs already offer this? Your comment sounded like you were knowledgable on the subject.
