I Was Homeless at Thanksgiving...
I wasn’t sitting at a family table. I was in a hotel room (still a blessing, yes), technically homeless, carving a cantaloupe like a turkey. Heartbroken. Stressed. So here's what I want to chat with you about today... About anyone being able to start a new routine....like shopping online for the best "discount." But protecting your routine? That’s the part most peeps aren’t prepared for. When you’re building new habits—especially ones that go against years of conditioning (ouch)—you have to start thinking like a bodyguard for the version of you you're becoming. Here’s what that means: - You don’t keep chips in the pantry “for the kids” if you know it’s a trigger. - You don’t accept invites to that spot that always leaves you bloated and defeated. - And you definitely don’t explain yourself to people committed to misunderstanding your growth. Whew!! #flashbacks This ain’t about restriction—it’s about respecting the new boundaries that support your peace, your energy, and your power. So here’s today’s thought: “The stronger your boundaries, the less you need willpower.” Let that marinate. Pause before the purchase and say: "Wait… do I really need this or am I chasing a quick hit of joy?" —that’s you rewiring your reward system in real-time.
