✨ First Post of the Year — Grateful & Focused
First post of the year, and I’m starting it with gratitude 🙏 Looking back, November wrapped with solid results, and honestly, getting into e-commerce has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. The progress, the lessons, the growth, all of it has shaped how I’m entering this new year. This year isn’t about rushing or forcing things. It’s about consistency, clarity, and building smarter, especially with an ADHD brain that thrives when I work with my rhythm, not against it. Excited for what’s ahead 🚀 Let’s see what this year brings. Wishing everyone growth, wins (big or small), and momentum ✨

Congrats on the progress so far, excited to see what’s next for you.
Hi there! 👋
Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself here and hopefully find some meaningful connections within this wondeful community. Here goes: - Who are you and what do you do? I'm Angela, I am originally from the UK but spend 30 years living around the world in 11 different countries. 🌍 I'm building a Skool communty for expat mums to ensure they feel seen and understood and remind them that they matter too! 😉 - Why were you interested in joining this group? I'm interested in this community because even though I find ADHD to be a superpower, 🦸‍♀️ it's also a bit of a struggle when it comes to building a business, espcially when you've never done it before! 😬 - What's your biggest challenge when it comes to ADHD or business right now? My biggest challenge is learning how to create and maintain systems and work flows so I don't get distracted while I bring my vision to life. It's both exciting and exhausting all at the same time! 🤪 I'm really looking foward to working and playing along side you all and getting to know you a little better! 🩷🧡

Welcome Angela! Your background is amazing, looking forward to learning from you and cheering you on!
My path to Journaling
I used to think journaling just “wasn’t my thing.” Not because I didn’t like reflection, I’ve always been a reflective person only it lived in my head, and every time I opened a notebook, I froze. I just didn’t know what to write about. The blank pages always seemed to interrogate me in a way lol. Everything changed when the fire nation attacked.... LOL I couldn't resist 🔥 Everything changed when I found prompts that actually flipped a switch in me. The kind that jump straight past thinking and into the body. That was the turning point. Once the right questions were there, journaling stopped feeling like a chore and started feeling like a conversation, with myself and with my body. And honestly, I have AI to thank for accelerating that. Having something that can generate, refine, and adapt prompts to where I’m actually at has made journaling a daily anchor instead of a “someday habit." Shoutout to @Frank Palomino for planting the seed by asking me a simple question today: “What’s your favorite journal prompt?” So now I’m curious 👇What’s a journaling prompt that genuinely opened something up for you? Looking to take a step away from the machine and hear what the hoomans have to offer hehe

Prompts really do wonder. Without them, I just stare at the page.
💚 Your nervous system leads your execution. 💚
I was reminded of this very personally a couple of days ago. I had a stressful call with my sister - and even though the call itself ended, my body didn’t move on as quickly. I was so dysregulated afterward that I ended up essentially bed-ridden for a couple of days. Not lazy. Not unmotivated. Just… offline.. And that’s the thing we often miss, especially as entrepreneurs. When our nervous system takes a hit, productivity doesn’t just dip a little. Sometimes it stops entirely. In relationships, dysregulation can show up as triggers, shutdown, or emotional overwhelm. In business, it can look like procrastination, brain fog, avoidance, or not being able to access the part of us that knows what to do. No amount of pushing helps in those moments. What actually helps is tending to the nervous system first, letting the body settle so execution can come back online. This is why I keep saying: 💚 regulation isn’t separate from productivity 💚 emotional safety isn’t separate from follow-through 💚 and “doing nothing” for a bit can sometimes be the most strategic move So if you’re struggling to execute right now, it might not be a discipline problem. It might just be your nervous system asking for care. Curious - have you noticed moments where an emotional hit affected your ability to show up or work afterward? 💚

Absolutely yes. Emotional stress has affected my ability to show up more times than I can count, especially in work. I appreciate you putting language to something so many of us experience quietly.

@Reema Rana For real, noticing it is already a win.🫶
A Rule I’m Starting This Year With
If it adds noise instead of clarity, it’s a no.

I love this. Such a simple filter, but it says everything. I’m going to keep this one in mind
