Fitness Score
Feel like I know most of the answer, but I’ll ask anyway for myself and others in the group who may be wondering the same thing. How much weight (if any) should be put into a Garmin/Strava/etc “fitness score”? (Answer - not much. stay consistent, keep ticking off sessions and trust the fitness is being built). Reason I ask - it can be discouraging when Strava/Garmin you need to do 500W for 15 hours to see “improvement”.
Legs vs. Lungs?
In middle duration efforts 5-20 minutes, I’m curious to hear what typically gives our first for you all, legs or lungs? I find my legs starting to complain while my breathing is still very under control. Wondering if this may be a fueling problem? Thanks in advance!

Thank you all for the replies! I'm glad to know its not just me.
Rider Support Playback
Does anyone else have trouble getting the rider support videos to play? I consistently have trouble on my phone. Wasn’t a problem previously when they were on YouTube. Just wondering if anyone had a fix!

@Matt Mcdonald interesting. I’ll take a look but don’t think this is the cause. I appreciate the input though 😎

@Anthony Walsh I was able to get it to work by hitting “next” to go to the next video and essentially reloading it a couple of times. Spotty but got it to work
Erg Mode Light Bulb Moment
I was today years old when I realized what a difference erg mode feels like when in a big gear vs in a small gear. Big ring in the front small in the back seems exponentially easier than small ring in the front and big in the back. (Gearing being set to optimize chain line in both scenarios)

@Sarah Egan of course. It’s good to learn that the same power within erg mode can feel different depending on gearing.
Flat Road Sprints
What is the thought process behind sprinting on the flats and not dropping down the gears? Reason I ask - I know if I was on a slight uphill drag and could drop the gears I could make more power.

I appreciate the responses Omar and Matthew! I was under the impression (incorrectly so) that we were going for max power. Reading more about the desired adaptation helps clarify things.
