Personal achievement
I just wanted to post to say that I received an email yesterday informing that I have passed my Masters Degree in Forensic photography. This has been a very difficult two years while working full time. All at the age of 53. Now on to writing a book!

A Conflicted Request
A woman I date frequently and am close to has 30 something son who has a dinner party to go to with his company. He called his mother to ask me if he could borrow my Rolex to wear to the dinner. I’ve shared my sentiments about this watch and it can’t be replaced. He’s a nice kid and I’m very fond of her but she seems miffed that I’m hesitant. I’ll probably loan it to him but I don’t like to be put into this situation. What do you guys think?

To me if she knows the story and what the watch means to you they shouldn't have asked. No matter how small of a chance there is always a chance of something going wrong. I dont own any expensive watches because ive managed to damage every watch ive ever had.
Asking Your Opinion
Particle is running the second wave of Gravite commercials asking young women to describe how they define a gentleman. Then the voiceover states that “being a gentleman can be challenging, but smelling like one is easy.” To me, being a gentleman is a persona, a way of life. The gist of this ad seems to imply that by wearing this fragrance one doesn’t have to support the qualities that make up a gentleman, just smell good, don’t open doors, don’t pay for dates, etc. and one becomes a “pseudo gentleman.” Your thoughts?

Gentleman is who you are not what you do to me. I have found that there are alot of things I was raised to do such as Open doors, give my seat to a woman or elderly, say sir or ma'am isnt really valued anymore. In fact I actually had one of my daughters teacher complain about it during a parent teacher conference several years ago.

"Saepe Exertus, Semper Fidelis, Fraternity Aeternum." I am sure where this originalinally came from brothers. Though it is in a book entitled, "The Passion of Command", by Col. B. P. McCoy. Have a great day brothers and Happy Birthday to my U.S. Marine Corps brothers and sisters, past and present.

Very true, something we all need to hear. Often we get lost in just existing. Thank you Gunny
